According to the latest Rasmussen state polls, Mitt Romney is in position to win the presidency; he should win at least 279 electoral votes. Romney leads in Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Colorado, and New Hampshire; Obama leads in Nevada. Wisconsin and Iowa are tied. Were Romney to win both Wisconsin and Iowa, hed secure another 16 electoral votes, putting him at 295 electoral votes...

My guess is that Iowa goes Romney. Not because of the DMRegister endorsement, but because the stolid farmers and hyper yuppies of WestDSM don't like having been made drooling fools of, back in 2008.

Maine CD 1 is the hinterlands. Not certain they will even know who is running. CD 2 is the southern coast including the Bath Iron Works (shipbuilding industry). If either district were to go red it would seem to be CD 2. They are union flunkies but they owe their life to the Navy.
