Romney Loyalists Hyping Comeback: 'Republicans Are Dying to Be Associated with Him'
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | August 3, 2014 | Tony Lee

Mitt Romney loyalists are trying to gin up the narrative that Republicans just can't get enough of Romney.

“Democrats don’t want to be associated with Barack Obama right now, but Republicans are dying to be associated with Mitt Romney,” Spencer Zwick, "a longtime Romney confidant who chaired his national finance council," claimed to the Washington Post. The Chamber of Commerce, which has vowed to wage war on the Tea Party and push through amnesty legislation, glowingly praised Romney, alleging he would be in a "commanding position" if he entered the 2016 race.

Romney is reportedly set to make trips to West Virginia, North Carolina, Arkansas, Colorado, and Virginia to campaign for Republicans. Yet besides the media, most of the people clamoring for another Romney "comeback" are his loyalists and closest advisers, who defied all statistical models to lose an election many thought should never have been lost.

In a July article for Politico Magazine, Emil Henry, who "served in multiple roles in the 2012 campaign, including adviser to the economic team, television surrogate and fundraiser," laughingly alleged that "Romney is re-emerging as the de facto leader of the Republican Party."

I remember Rick Santorum being called a liberal here by some of the main characters. Rick Perry has been called “not conservative” So has Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindal and so many others.

Who’s your candidate for 2016?

Do you want Links to the main characters here bashing Mitt Romney and claiming that re-electing Obama would be better? Really? Do you think that didn’t happen?

I don’t really care what you do or don’t want.

BTW there’s nothing cute or remotely intelligent about your little “isn’t that odd” bullshit.

You democrats are garbage. Yes you are democrats who simply lack the courage to admit it. It puts your kind beneath the Obamas and Warrens of the world.

Do you remember Romney coming out against the GOP pro-life platform, and returning to his pro-abortion position AFTER he won the nomination?

Losers used to have the grace to go away, or at least sit one out like Nixon.

Cute, calling me a democrat.

That’s the same thing as saying “you’re fat”.

What I said was absolutely true. This premiere conservative website during the 2012 election was a mess. The main characters here working tirelessly telling everyone that it’s MUCH better to re-elect the disaster that is Barack Hussein Obama than to *GASP* vote for Romney.

We have an unmitigated disaster on our hands with the current White House occupant. Attacking me because I’m not looking forward to the circular firing squad that WILL take place here in 2016 is rather odd. ANY story mentioning Romney, Bush, Cheney, Palin, Cruz, Rubio, Perry, Walker and many others.....just gets the main characters all fired up. The story quoted, and it was, afterall a “story”, from a newspaper that cannot always be believed for accuracy, quoted “sources” that “allegedly” and “reportedly” said this or that.

To be honest, I’m not going to look for “links” of the main characters here on the premiere conservative website claiming that re-electing Obama would be better than electing Romney.

It happened. Will it happen again in 2016? Probably.

Now, you can attack because I’m not going to sift through all of the posts here. The bottom line is, the main characters here would rather lose the presidential election. Does it give them something to talk about for four (or eight) years? Maybe. I really think that some people don’t know how to take charge and feel totally uncomfortable when either they are in charge or responsible for who IS in charge.

"Cute, calling me a democrat. That’s the same thing as saying “you’re fat”."

OK - You're a fat Democrat.

"The main characters here working tirelessly telling everyone that it’s MUCH better to re-elect the disaster that is Barack Hussein Obama than to *GASP* vote for Romney"

That's a pretty sweeping accusation.

How about you name those "main characters" and ping them?

Yeah, you are something of a Romney troll, I would suggest that people look at your posting history before they waste time on you.

“Unfortunately, Milt has his supporters here.”

At least he had the courage to run and try and make a difference, rather than taking advantage of gullible “fans” just to make a buck. There is a certain public figure, which I won’t name, who has no intentions of ever running for national office again because it would be the end of his/her gravy train.

It’s better to keep supporters drooling and salivating with just the tease of a possible run.

Talk is cheap. Let’s see them. And when you do find them, common courtesy here is to ping them to your post. And how in the world have I “attacked” you in any way, shape or form? Or are you incredibly thin-skinned?

Actually Mitt has been ripping off voters for decades.

Since he quit supporting and fund raising and voting for democrats and rejoined the GOP in October of 1993, he has a single victory to his name, that with less than 50%, and he had to give up his plan of running for reelection since he failed in that office so badly, and he left it with 34% approval.

Do the “Bash Sarah Palin to help Mitt Romney” messages come through e-mail, telepathically, telephonically, at your temple or some other way? Hope you’re not a Jack Mormon or no reward for you, elder.

um, Romney was the nominee in 2012. it would have been better if I had done like the main characters here did. I should have said that it was better to re-elect Obama than to vote for Romney! right?

That would make me “good” in your eyes. Are you one of the main characters here who claims it’s better that the republicans McCain/Palin lost to Obama in 2008 because the just were not conservative enough? And then, after four years of a disastrous presidency, are you one of the main characters that claimed it was better that the republicans Romney/Ryan lost in 2012 because they were simply just not conservative enough? Calling me a troll....Name calling is the forte of the main characters here.

Or, am I simply not drinking the “we need to lose” kool aid being distributed here by the main characters?

Romney would have been a Fine President. McCain would have been a Fine President as well. Why? They would have surrounded themselves with American loving, GOOD people.

I’ll add being called a “troll” to the name calling by the main characters here on the premiere conservative website.

Most of the main characters here will never be happy. It’s better for them if they are always on the losing side.

Why would you be upset with a certain public figure taking “advantage of gullible fans” just to make a buck? Are you against capitalism? What’s wrong with a capitalistic venture? If there’s no market for the capitalistic venture, it would fail.
