Mark Levin on 2016: GOP Must Nominate Conservative for First Time Since Ronald Reagan
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | September 27, 2014 | Tony Lee

Posted on 09/27/2014 4:32:37 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Conservative scholar and talk radio host Mark Levin said the GOP is "a party in trouble" that must nominate a bold conservative for president in 2016 if they do not want to get walloped yet again.

Speaking at Values Voter Summit on Saturday with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, Levin, who is cementing himself as the intellectual godfather for conservatives in the age of Obama, said moderate candidates favored by the establishment and stand for nothing will never appeal to Americans who are hungry for leadership.

"It's very, very, important that we nominate a conservative for the first time since Ronald Reagan," Levin said. "There are people under 50-years-old who have never had an opportunity to vote for a conservative president. We want to show them what it's like. It's our generation's responsibility."

Levin said "it's invigorating, energizing" and "almost spiritual to get behind somebody with enthusiasm and excitement. To go door-to-door. That's how you win elections."(continued)

Quote of the year-

"We damn well better nominate a conservative in 2016 to save this country and save the Republican Party. We don't have a lot of time left," Levin said. "We cannot nominate another RINO, or we're going to get our clocks cleaned again."

The GOP ELITE will run a Bush-Jeb, rehab Christie or resurrect Romney.

They are terrified of conservatives way more than the Democrats...

They're not terrified of conservatives, they have a deep visceral hatred of them, as they did of Reagan.

They are going to lose then. Sarah Palin or Ted Cruz will be the last two in the World that the GOP will nominate. In fact, I would say that if it were down to Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin, the GOP not nominate anyone.

They have said it in both word and deed, but some people just cling bitterly to the fantasy is something that it isn’t and really never was when you get down to it. Reagan was a dark time for the RINO wing and they pretty much vowed to never let it happen again.

Thus the self sabotage of Palin. Most of the hate the MSM spread was based of leaks (read that pure inventions) from Schmitt and Wallace. And they are 100% true blue Romney.

That election was in the bag. then they saw the upswell from the base for a conservative and made the call to quash it once and for all. The next election they ran the single most liberal candidate to ever wear the “R”. So what will it take for the right to remove the rose colored glasses?

Edit/Clarification “Self sabotage of Palin” meaning the GOP sabotaging it’s own candidate. NOT that Palin sabotaged anything.

Its probably Cruz or good bye GOP for some people.

I’m still registered Republican to vote in primaries for conservatives, but if RINO’s win they don’t get my vote under any circumstances.

I’m inclined to support a new responsible common sense third party and third party leader like UKIP and Nigel Farage if and when they emerge in this country.

I’d take Cruz or Palin.

Otherwise I won’t vote Republican for president again...

I’m ready to walk and change my registration when we get a sober and civilized third party with a Nigel Farage type going in this country.

There is no conservative that will meet the litmus test for many on this board and that includes Ted Cruz. Every person who has ever been feted on this board for their conservative credentials has eventually been pilloried by the board at some point later. Wait for the perfect conservative and we will find ourselves with the Hildebeast running the country until 2024.

But, hey, we will have stood up for our principles. Woo friggin hoo.

The two big parties in this country are taking us both down the same road, serving the interests of elites who want things like illegal immigration.

The differences are always exaggerated with fear being used to keep conservatives in line to support liberal Republicans because the “evil” Democrats are worse.

I don’t eat that “stuff” anymore.

And your path leaves us, AGAIN with neither a RINO president OR our principles. So you are perfectly to lose the election, AGAIN and throw out your integrity AGAIN for no end whatsoever.

Boy is that ever a brilliant plan. At least if us evil purists lose the election we can look in the mirror and call ourselves conservatives without lying, then make up excuses.

Win goes to the purists.
