Ted Cruz was at only 3% at this point in his US Senate race in Texas. Remind me how that turned out.

Should we take seriously a guy who walks around with a birds nest on his head?

Electability arguments are fine but ultimately the Cruz or Paul? question will be settled by how you react to their very different personal styles for me it is not about style, but about substance...

Rand Paul’s campaign is gasping for air before race has begun. He will be the first candidate to opt out.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Ted Cruz is the anti-elite candidate. Voters will cross party lines for that. His Liberty speech was aimed squarely at the middle/lower class that has been hammered by BO and Democrats.

It is the just got out of bed look, very popular on college campuses. Rand is trying to round up the youth vote. But youth’s are notorious for low turnouts, unless a messianic candidate like Obummer comes on the scene.

“Winnability” is Establishmentspeak for
catering to moderates by acting moderate,
instead of the REAL winning strategy of teaching the dumb masses why conservatism is superior.

and how does Paul attract besides the nut jobs, illegals and homosexuals yes druggies because all they think about is getting their drugs
Every loon who supports Paul always refer to their drugs being legal and then hide behind the slogan of no Govt.

Would anyone be paying attention to Rand were it not for his daddy’s name?

I have noticed that too. Cruz took his little fake win at CPAC out and now grasps at straws.
But never fear his voters will be invading all these kind of websites soon harping about no Govt should tell us what we do bla bla.
Ask them about incest, age of consent drugs being sold at a K school, homosexual marriage and their agenda, open borders, reduced military and they shy away

I had hoped Rand and Ted would “tag team” the political elites and the GOP establishment picks, but sadly Rand may very well have sold out...

Reagan was down 30% to Carter after the primaries.
This is the same, TIRED argument used by the GOP Establishment to try and manipulate conservatives to vote for their tried and true losers. Every Single Time!
They did it with Dole, they did it with Rudy, they did it with McCain, and they did it with Romney.
If you see someone using this fallacious argument, KNOW that it is a false statement.
