You are so right. All us Freepers need to become prayer warriors in this cause. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world!

Thank you Sir!

Not since my last vote for Reagan in 84' am I so enthused about a candidate like I am for my Senator, Ted Cruz! When I cast my vote for Cruz in the Texas election, it was the first time in a long time that I didn't have to hold my nose when I voted.

People need to explain that libertarians are just immoral people that want a tax cut. You are seeing the libertarian foreign policy at work right now. I’ve tried to be a libertarian several times in my 63 years, but it always comes back to gay marriage, legal dope, and just plain anarchism. In the Dem party, a libertarian is called a “Blue Dog” Dem. In the Rep party, they are called “Rockefeller” republicans. In the Libertarian party, they are called losers.

I am sending in $ sporadically and have to keep an eye on this rate as there is that maximum limit thing.

Is this the PAC or direct contributions??

I have been a bit of a nuisance on some of these threads insisting that spiritual preparation needs to be first, political action next. Been called self righteous and worse.

But it just seems it doesn’t make ultimate sense to view the matter at hand any other way. Consider what (to the best of our ability to grasp such a question) it’s going to look like from heaven 100 million years in the future, America long gone. What would have mattered the most? Surely not the pride of the long gone nation. The spiritual state of the souls, surely. That does not make it a sin to carry out politics, but the end should be better conducive to sharing the gospel. What we know as earthly glories of America are at best helpful graces along the way. They cannot become the main point of the picture. Anyhow, IMHO.

The https://www.tedcruz.org/donate website is direct contributions, I believe. OTOH, the PACs described in the article are a horse of a different color.

I sure hope people donating to PACs know exactly who is running them and whether they are actually associated with the candidate.

Why not just give it directly to the candidate?

Different funding streams. Take a look at the article, I believe they name them.

Hence, my tagline. I’m with you. If we all look at things from 100 years from now, what would we be doing differently today?

There are two broad divisions of political philosophy that both call themselves libertarian, but they disagree on political freedom issues.

I said it before and I’ll repeat it again and again and again,” I feel a tsunami coming” and it will happen in 2016 in America and its not in the form of water. GO TED GO

Why not just give it directly to the candidate?

IIRC, PACs do not have the same restrictions on amounts and on reporting that individual campaigns have.

That is, large spenders can contribute many times more through PACs than to a specific candidate.

I penned a ditty a few years back, “Redneck Revolution,” that kind of envisioned a scenario like this. The way I put it about the revolution was “the love of God would be its food.” And its reference to rednecks was before the Duck Dynasty came on the national scene too. Not claiming any prophetic power here — perhaps I was only anticipating the obvious, that the pendulum would have to swing back from godlessness some day as long as there are Christians who remember what Christianity is. People are going to get jaded with worldliness and hence will come an opening for a new gospel based movement.
