Koch Brothers Reveal List of 5 Potential GOP Candidates to Support
Mediaite ^ | April 21, 2015 | Matt Wilstein

Posted on 04/21/2015 7:35:43 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

On Monday, The New York Times — and, in turn, Mediaite — reported that billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch had settled on Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI) as their preferred Republican candidate to back in the 2016 presidential election. “We will support whoever the candidate is,” David Koch reportedly said at a fundraising event. “But it should be Scott Walker.”

Now, however, in an interview with USA Today, Charles Koch has said that their field of potential endorsees is larger than just one. He confirmed that they are actually looking at five candidates who they believe have “a good chance of getting elected: Walker, Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio.

“Those are the ones we have talked to the most and who seem to be the possible leaders,” Koch said. “What we’ve told them all is that right now, we’re not supporting anyone. We’re telling them that if they want our support, one way to get it is articulating a good message to help Americans get a better understanding and a better appreciation of how certain policies … will benefit them and will benefit all America.”

Koch also confirmed that his organization plans to spend up to $300 million on political campaigns in 2016. During the 2012 election, the Republican National Committee raised and spent $400 million. If the Kochs do decide to back a Republican candidate during the primary, it would be the first time the did so in a presidential election.

“Only if somebody really stands out from the standpoint of their message and what they would actually do to benefit America and has a chance a decent chance of being elected, only then would we select one over the others,” he said, adding, “We may give several of them some money to get this positive message out.”

You are exactly right about the dumbing down of our schools. We need to get the federal government out of our schools and put local governments in charge, with the states providing funding.

The liberal brainwashing would then be under control.

Sounds like you have a rewarding career. In what field are you specialized? Caleb was strongly influenced by his dad who worked on nuclear subs in Norfolk.

I had to train my replacement. How is that for a source?

I don’t doubt that young kiddos are a mess. My son is finishing his science education, top of his class, working in a paid internship that supports his education.

There are several openings where he is doing his internship. He tells his classmates - no one will work.

But, I fear his future. Because I have first hand experience what these H-1B replacements are doing.

Yes, self deportation is the best and cheapest. I have posted that meme many times.

Problem is Neither Cruz, nor Walker, nor Rubio, nor Bush, nor Paul, nor any of the others have declared they will enforce laws and cause deportation of EVERY LAW BREAKING ILLEGAL.

There are times I could see the need for unions. This is one of them.

It’s too bad unions had to overreach and get power hungry. They should’ve just stayed doing what they originally started up for.

Sorry you had to go through that. I hope you found something better for yourself.

I think Tancredo and Hunter might have... was that the 2004 or 2008 primary?

I admired both those men, taking in the RINO establishment. I joined the Minutemen back then. Another great group of patriots.

I recall something Romney said in 2012 campaign that he wanted illegals to self-deport. He was derided and attacked by MSM for saying that.

Doesn't seem to me 'the numbers' mean anything other than a figure to manipulate to those in power...and that to pocket themselves along the way as their own "entitlement"....which Americans continue contributing to from one generation to the next...the pot never goes dry....
