The Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC) kicked off this week in Oklahoma City and many of the GOP presidential hopefuls were on hand to make their pitch. Two of them in particular caught the notice of the political reporting class as well as the attendees. Carly Fiorina gave a very well received stem winder which had the crowd on their feet, and rather than going after her fellow primary contenders, her sights were set on the Democrats presumptive nominee.
Fiorina is keeping with a familiar theme which she established right out of the gate. In an era when the media is still more than willing to double down on the entire Republican War on Women meme, Fiorina has staked out a space where she can attack Hillary Clinton with abandon on every issue under the sun and even the most liberal journalists are hesitant to play the gender card against her. Shes also continuing to hammer on Clintons complete lack of credentials or significant accomplishments during her years in the public eye, while highlighting her own experience on both the domestic front and foreign relations. Its too early to say how much this may move the needle, but Fiorina certainly seems to be in this thing to win it.

She will not likely get the nomination, but she needs to be in the race for as long as possible.
I have been saying that on this board for a month. I take credit lol. I let her attack attack attack and give her some position in the administration.
Not going to happen though
Yes, you have been saying that all along, and Fiorina is well skilled at it and doing it well.
That is what I am thinking also. Fiorina must stay in the race as long as her money lasts.
I read your profile. Of course it absolutely makes sense but then what do we do? I think we can still get more than 50% but for how long before more than 50% are voting for more stuff for themselves? as it is we have almost an entire racial group showing up for work one day every four years. And that is to vote for president and continue welfare snap and everything else you mentioned. and this maniac wants mandatory voting.
how Conservative is Fiorina?? Sen Cruz’s support of Obamatrade has concerned me enough to consider others.
She’s less “conservative” than jebbie.
They’re both running for Cabinet positions. Fiorina hopes to bump that up to a Vagina Voter Veep slot under Jeb or Rubio.
She will serve a good purpose in the primaries but she will never be my candidate. I like Carson a lot.
I like Carson too, he’s a lot more conservative than any president or nominee we’ve had since Reagan. But he pales in comparison to Cruz or Paul, I’d take them first.
Isn’t she just another stalking pony for Jebbie though?

Carly Fiorina has got to loose that hissing ‘s.’ Consider speech therapy.
It’s reminiscent of Obama’s hissing ‘s’ - makes me nuts.

Hey, if she becomes the VP choice for Cruz, Rubio or Walker, we could still get a lot more mileage out of her. She is definitely the only attack dog we have right now; but, she’s only speaking to Republicans who wouldn’t vote for Hillary anyhow. We need to keep her on the stump through the Debates and even during the General Election; however we have to do it.
Giving a zero-chance candidate so much attention just to have a token female (Fiorina) or a token black (Carson) in the GOP race seems pretty weak. Does the GOP really need its own brand of affirmative action?
Would anyone even be discussing her candidacy if she weren't the sole female GOP candidate? Would anyone be taking Ben Carson's "candidacy" seriously (or Herman Caine's 4 years ago) if they were white?
The only reason such candidates are taken seriously at all (and rarely criticized when they say things that other candidates get rightly ripped for) is because they're part of a cheap publicity stunt to show how "inclusive" and non-discriminatory the GOP is.
