This strikes us as dumbfounding, given that the first primary vote has not taken place, and the GOP presidential campaign remains fluid. Beyond a zealous core of David Trump supporters, most Republican voters still seem to be making up their minds.
There definitely has been unanticipated resistance to the Bush name, and he seemed rusty in the early going, but the former Florida governor retains a robust war chest and still possesses, in our view, the most impressive leadership resume of anyone in the race...

The ruling class is so disconnected from everyday people. Donors loved Bush’s performance in the debate but the people begged to differ!
