Donald Trump's questions about Ted Cruz's citizenship may not be helping him in Iowa. In fact, they may be boosting his rival according to one group of Hawkeye State voters.
In his latest focus group, pollster Frank Luntz asked if the fact that Cruz was born in Canada, to an American mother, raised legitimate concerns about his eligibility for president, as Trump has suggested. Only six of 27 participants raised their hands, even though seven identified Trump as their first-choice candidate.
One participant said the issue exposes Trump as "unserious," while another called it a "joke."
"Just a few months ago, he said his strongest lawyers said it's a settled issue and Cruz is eligible," one participant said. "Now three months later, when Cruz overtakes him in the polls, he says the exact opposite... It's not a serious issue at all."(continued)

I don’t hate Cruz at all. I Accually like Cruz. I would support Trump because he would be a legal prez, and he’s a business man, and not so much a politician.. I didn’t support Romney because he is a liberal.(didn’t vote). I supported McCain/Palin because i liked Palin and what she did for Alaska.

That's good. My point is Cruz doesn't have much a chance to win this thing. I know you guys don't like to hear it. I'll tell you guys when asked or challenged It's pretty obvious, and I believe I made the point on this thread, and it's backed up with overwhelming data.

Funny, those same RCP polls that you rely on to show Trump’s popularity also show Trump is the only one that can’t win this. Cruz has a better chance to win.

Cruz still has to get by the front runner Trump to prove that he can beat Hillary.
Only 3 weeks when the election process starts. We will find out soon enough.

We will...either way works for me. If Cruz wins then I know the U.S. has a chance. If Trump wins then I get to take the day off and skip voting this time around because there is little difference between Trump and Hillary and Trump will ruin conservative chances of taking the presidency for decades. Most conservatives won’t hold their nose this time, which is why polls show Trump losing in the general.
So 21 Hawkeyes think Ted is a citizen. Seems low.
Cruz WILL win Texas and most likely Oklahoma by a mile!
Don’t know about Texas, but here in Oklahoma, I’ve seen more people at a truck stop than the news showed at the Cruz rally...
Oh but the last national poll shows Trump beating Hillary that came out on January 8th.

One poll...The RCP average and most of the other polls show Trump losing. Again, you pick and chose which polls to believe and hold them as gospel when it supports Trump and dismiss them when they don’t support Trump.

I estimate about 93% or better of the state and national R primary polls show Trump leading over the last six months, some may get questioned as clunkers.
