My hunch is now telling me there’s a person who was bitterly betrayed by the “establishment” inside Team Cruz; and almost everyone can guess who that person is (with enough thought, and a paradigm shift toward pre-planning). A person waiting, like a trigger, to be pulled if needed. However, at this point it’s doubtful they will be needed.

Does anyone know who is that mystery person inside Ted Cruz campaign?

Good point. Here’s my response: Guy Jackson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Well, my picture's been up on my home page for years, but if you want to know:

Ronnie Bell, Dallas, Texas.

Pleased to meet you.

Hi Ronnie, thanks for your response. If you ever get up this direction, let me know. I’d be pleased to buy your lunch/dinner. I’ve got a daughter living in Plano. She tells me I don’t come visit enough. I just don’t want to be a helicopter dad.

Blessings to you,

Guy

Maybe a bit off topic but I literally just had this encounter.

I grabbed the elevator from my 20th floor apt heading to the lobby to the convenience store for more beer. But that’s not important right now.

I stopped on 16 and a POS a little Arab 20 something walked in. My building is full of Muslims.

I said “Hey, I saw you earlier” Trying to be friendly.

He said with a gleeful smile “Did you vote in the Primary?”

I replied “No, I’m waiting for the dust to settle. Who did you vote for?” trying to be a bit coy.

He replied “Sanders”

I asked, “Why?”

He said with the same gleeful projection that greeted me from the start, “Because he is for the middle class”.

And as I reached my floor and exited the elevator I looked back at his retarded smiling Arab face and said, “You’re an idiot”

Was I wrong?

Why declare a third party when you’ve hijacked someone else’s?

It’s like a pirate getting a stupid streak and building a boat he already just finished stealing.

The last thing that will be said in the convention will be by Trump: “You dolt’s made me! I was inevitable, and you are damn lucky I won this thing and not someone else. Now, get in line, or get run over.”

See #23, then follow the link to Breitbart.

The GOP is desperate, to the point where they will destroy the GOP if need be, and doesn’t care what anyone thinks.

Right on, Guy. If your baby girl ever needs something in a pinch, you let me know. I can get to Plano pretty quick.

Maybe you and I can shake hands and have a beer at one of the annual Freeper gatherings in Texas. If you’ve never been to one, they’re a blast. Literally!

Some years back, an Eastern-bloc country suffered a spontaneous popular revolt which brought down & replaced the government in one day. It was pretty dramatic, the police beating on protesters - and then turning to join them ... someone found a bulldozer and rammed the front door of the Parliament ... just a crazy tense day that turned out for the better.

Except it wasn’t spontaneous.
It had been in planning for ten years.
Every surprise was planned, every psychological turn orchestrated, every contingency covered.
Wouldn’t surprise me in the least to figure Trump had this whole run planned out, likewise, over the last 10 years. He knows that people must be persuaded, scandals discovered & handled, outrageous mis-steps made and recanted, etc ... so he planned them.

Just because we sneer at “conspiracy theories” doesn’t mean they don’t happen. They’re necessary in some cases, and can be very effective.

Oh, Trump spinning off a third party? won’t happen. Most voters have already made up their minds before any names are mentioned (I’m not voting Democrat, that’s for sure, no matter who they run). The race is for the ~5% in the middle that can be persuaded. Third party = guaranteed loss. Why take the risk, when he can take over the Republican ticket?

OK but this “unity” talk - is that also a baiting strategy of some sort? This “unity” stuff is unsettling. Every time you hear the Right OR the Left talk about “unity” it ALWAYS means the Right HAS to move over to the Left.

I don’t want to see Mr. Trump start to turn left at some point here. Mr. Trump and the Right need to hold their ground and fight for America, the American People, and freedom, unity with the Left or not. Force the Left to CHANGE or DIE.

We saw from Reagan’s example that the way to bring in others is not by compromising on limited government and freedom but by CLEARLY COMMUNICATING THE MESSAGE of the advantage and desirability of LESS government and MORE freedom from government.

Reagan’s uncompromising MESSAGE resonated across party lines. Once he was in there, Reagan was a master negotiator holding fast to the 70% he would not budge on, letting the 30% go, but after the 70% worked so well, he’d also get the 30%. THAT is masterful negotiating and forced the Left to move to the right, not visa versa. The results were strength at home - unprecedented 25 years of economic growth and prosperity - and strength abroad - the collapse of the USSR, our greatest enemy at the time.

Reagan’s message never softened up on the Left, it intensified. He put high-beam spotlights on exactly what the Left represented and who they really were. The result was the Left actual began avoiding the term “liberal” because Reagan had shown Americans that “liberal” (Leftism) was actually a dirty word. BUT behind the scenes he was not antagonistic and would negotiate with them.

I hope these concepts are in Mr. Trump’s master plan.

Which Eastern-bloc country and what are the odds Trump did this 'on his own'... if he really did it? Just curious...
