It’s time for the people in the democRat Party he has bankrolled to come out and help him now. Liberal back scratchers unite!
This post has been brought to you by “Ted Cruz propaganda r us?”
Paid for by the GOPe.
Some background about the author Philip Bump:
I guess we’ll all just have to vote for Bernie the Bolshevik. Oy vey
That makes 6 or 8 Achilles heels.
Sure this looks good for Ted. I dont mind if all the Cruz fans has a few bright moments to cheer for. This is where Cruz has strength - elections run soley by the party in each state and not by the will of the people of the state. Lets see what happens in the end. If Trump doesn’t have 1237 on the first ballot who is to say he cant get a few of these votes back. Trump has hired a master at seducing delegates and has won his candidate the nomination before.
I just heard on CNN that Colorado doesn’t even have a caucus or vote. What the hell?
Accurate headline. Content: so so. Trump should have had a better ground game way earlier. No question.
The Trump likker is wearing off and folks are waking up with the New York pig in their beds and screaming “OMG!!!”
Nobody actually voted. Some victory.
You have to go far into the articles to read anything relevant:
Colorados delegate selection process is a messy one, thanks to a variety of causes. (FrontloadingHQs Josh Putnam, whose site is an invaluable resource on the rules guiding the Republican contests, has a distinct air of exasperation as the Colorado process is explained.)
Our Ed O’Keefe outlined it in detail on Wednesday. In short, the states individual congressional districts and, on Saturday, the state as a whole, hold votes to pick delegates to attend Julys national convention in Cleveland. Those delegates have either declared their intent to support a candidate or not, meaning that they are either bound to support a candidate or they arent. Its bound delegates that Trump wants, because he needs to enter Cleveland with as close to a solid, unwavering majority as he can get. If he shows up with 1,100 bound delegates and 140 unbound ones, the Republican Party will do everything it can to get those 140 to change their minds. The convention isnt a Super Bowl, played on neutral ground. Its Stalingrad, and Trump doesnt want a siege.
Today Colorado secures the remaining 13 Delegates for Cruz at State Ass’y.
Trump only does well with voters, Cruz does best with party hacks.
The Colorado primary is 100% eGOP controlled, not voters involved, so how is that Trump’s negative issue?
If anything, it shows Cruz is eGOP and Trump is not.
This is a classic example of having the GOPe machine working for you. Indiana is another example. Ted Cruz has sold out to the GOPe and therefore inherits the machine.
