He’s not winning. He’s lost the primary vote and is now aiding and abetting the enemy (the GOPe) in their treasonous attempt to deny the nomination to the winner. Cruz is a sore loser turned traitor against the grassroots voters. And the foolish neophyte thinks the GOPe is going to let him have a shot at the presidency if he helps them block Trump? Laughable if it wasn’t so serious.

I was going to say what you did but I’ll add

Cruz isn’t going to win the nomination. That’s dreaming. The GOP will throw him under the bus just as soon as he has served his purpose. Just watch.

“Jeb Bush: Trump is ‘entertaining’, but I will win Republican nomination. “

Exactly. And in the end, the GOP and democrats will both hold his citizenship against him. They are waiting for the perfect time to knock him out of the race. It will happen.

Perfect... This is what I wrote too.

This isn’t about being prepared for delegate stealing by the Cruz campaign. I think Trump and most others, if they were capable of some honesty, would acknowledge that by this time with Trump ahead in the process, with Cruz with basically no chance to reach the magical number for the nomination, would likely have dropped out by now and all this delegate crap would be mute like in years past.

So why is Cruz still on his quest? He’s either working for the GOP or he thinks he’s better than all of the voters that have gone for Trump; if it’s the latter then it’s just plain arrogance. I have come to the conclusion in all of my lurking around on this site and others that Cruz is not principled or an honorable person. Otherwise, he would drop out and get behind Trump and the party to defeat the dems. He could drop out and come back like Reagan did, but nope, he’s he!! bent on doing whatever damage he can do (tearing the country further apart) to not only Trump but to himself as well. I’m saying this because he’s behind in the numbers and likely to be in worse shape after NY and is trying to force a contested or brokered convention. Even if Cruz were somehow to snag the nomination (which I think that’s all his supporters care about is just getting the nomination but forestall looking at the bigger picture) that he is very very unlikely to win the general election as the numbers just will not be there.

It’s getting somewhat concerning that Cruz will go to any means necessary to justify the end.

I am not the least bit surprised that you see this election very clearly, Jim.

You believe that Ted Cruz has turned traitor against us and that he’s aiding and abetting the enemy? That he’s a full-on traitor to the U.S. Constitution and a free republic? You think that?

You’re not just angry about the process and tactics? You think Ted Cruz is a traitor like John McCain is a traitor?!

From the Washington Post, April 11, 2016, describing what has been called the "Cruz superior ground game" and Cruz's "courting" of the delegates in states where the primaries are finished, Trump has been victorious and moved on, but Cruz's hacks remain behind. Here's the "ground game", defined"

Under regulations established in the 1980s, delegates cannot take money from corporations, labor unions, federal contractors or foreign nationals. But an individual donor is permitted to give a delegate unlimited sums to support his or her efforts to get selected to go to the convention, including money to defray the costs of travel and lodging.

That should explain everything about how "smart" Cruz's "ground game" is.
