Why Bernie is Going to Win

Bernie is going to win. The writing is on the wall that Hillary is most likely guilty of [at a minimum] unintentional espionage and probably much worse and it looks like an indictment at this point is imminent. There’s no doubt that the democratic establishment is also aware of this inevitability and is beginning to hedge their bets, albeit behind closed doors. It’s only a matter of time before the majority of the DNC begins to realize that Hillary is a liability to the party and once this tipping point occurs, establishment democrats will defect en masse like rats from a sinking ship. But that’s not why Bernie is going to win.

Superdelegates, which date back to centrist “Scoop” Jackson’s Coalition for a Democratic Majority in the early 1970s, were meant to be a safeguard mechanism and were installed after an extremely contentious Democratic Convention in 1980 between Ted Kennedy and Jimmy Carter. This heated contest split the democratic party and created a chasm between the two camps, quite probably cost the democrats the general election. “Scoop” was a conservative Democrat and the superdelegates function was to ensure the party had a viable candidate to compete against the republican nominee by steering the party away from progressive candidates and more towards moderates.

The true, original intention of superdelegates was to have safeguards in place to act in the best interest of the party and it’s becoming more and more clear that Hillary’s legal troubles are not going away. In the general election, Sanders crushes Trump in a head to head contest while Hillary struggles, especially in 3 key so-called battleground states....

Or if Obama decides his hatred of Clinton outweighs other considerations.

I agree with you, Biden/Warren are going to be drafted somehow. My democrat acquaintances would be thrilled. That scares me.

I well remember when PIAPS was “crushing” Trump. Now it’s an old communist who’s crushing him. Seems like almost ANYBODY can crush Trump.

Not sure about this, but someone told me they can’t indict her once she is the nominee. She’s trying to get it sewn up so she can’t be indicted if this is true.

Jackson called himself, “A liberal but no damn fool.”

It’s hard to believe that he actually thought this plan would work.

The two times it made a difference:
1984 - Mondale was clearly to the left of Hart.
Over the next 4 years though, Hart’s ratings spiked to 100% ADA.
2008 - Obama was to the left of Hillary.

OK, I’ll admit
2016 - Hillary somewhat to the right of Bernie.

This week’s Rasmussen polls have Trump beating Hillary and Bernie beating Trump. Of course, it helps that no one has focused on Bernie and his shortcomings as they have on the other two. If Bernie were to become the D nominee, he’d get lots of attention and the public would be better informed.

The sooner people accept this the easier it will be for them to come to terms with President Trump. The Dems are in a complete bind this cycle. Their only consolation is that they'll have bragging rights for having nominated the first woman to be at the top of a national ticket, so Hillary gets her footnote in history along with Geraldine Ferraro before her.

In a fantasy world where Bernie outmaneuvers Hillary and became the D nominee he'd fare even worse in the general than she would as he's proven he does extremely poorly with non-white voters and that's absolutely fatal to has electoral chances.

The even deeper fantasy where some "white knight" rides to the rescue simply means both Hillary and Bernie supporters will feel cheated.

The Dems can pick any door they want, but all they're going to get is President Trump.

Hillary is destroying the Democrat Party.

This is the best year I’ve had since I was a kid!

Isn’t it amazing? It’s like a dream, only you are there, and you and you... It must be real.

An early poll which has correctly predicted the winner of the General for decades said it will be Bernie.

If it is Bernie, then to complete his platform, many will have to be forcefully repressed and some just “disappeared.” Just like in any other Socialist take over.
