Quayle ss up there in years.Was a leader in his time and a solid conservative. I met him years ago. He was a 6 handicap in golf. not sure what he has to offer now. He has been gone for years.
Wonder if Pence is responsible for testing meeting.
I was a bit surprised that the left didn’t try to connect Pence and Quayle during the election.
I used to work with a lot of Hoosiers.
Never met anyone from Indiana who had a bad word
to say about Dan Quayle.
Always like Quayle. Got a raw deal with the “potatoes” crap, but he should have bounced back and shoved it up their a$$e$.
He was a very good man trashed by the SNL crew.
Dan Quayle is and always was a much more intelligent and astute person than he was made out to be, even George H.W. Bush recognized the fact at the time he was selected for the Vice-Presidency in 1988.
Older now, tanned, rested and ready, Dan Quayle would be a welcome addition at so many different posts, that in the 4,000 or so discretionary hires that the Trump Administration must fill out by January, 2017, surely there is a solid place for him.
Regarding former VP Quayle’s spelling of potatoe with an “e.” That is the same way I learned to spell it in grade school in Indiana during the 1950s. Only the uneducated elite improperly drop the “e”. :)
Totally agree - it would be HUGE if Dan could come back to a public role - and I'd love to watch the media reaction.

Don’t ask him to spell potato.
Before you get going, perhaps you should review. The teacher spelled it with an “e” on the card she gave VP Quayle.
Plus, Potatoe is a legitimate spelling. When this happened, I got down my wife’s Berry Crocker Cookbook, the encyclopedia of cooking, you know, the one with the red and white checkerboard cover.
