She lamented Green Party nominee Jill Stein earning enough votes in swing states, such as Wisconsin, to tip the outcome from Clinton to Trump.
"I think the determining factor was the intervention by Comey on October 28", Clinton said. "I didn't know what to think about it because I knew there was nothing there, and we had trouble finding out what was really going on". I was just dumbfounded.
"I just wish that he were the president for all Americans", Clinton said, while discussing her latest book, "What Happened".
She also expressed that voter identification laws, which she labeled "voter suppression", was also responsible for her loss.
Jonathan Allen, one of the co-authors of the Clinton campaign tell-all "Shattered", said Clinton writes about taking responsibility and her weaknesses as a candidate, but the underlying theme of her book is that she lost the election primarily because of Comey and Vladimir Putin.
'He could have called me up ... and say, "Hey can we look at this new stuff?' At times, I thought I must be going insane", the former first lady and senator wrote.
"It stopped my momentum, it drove voters from me", Clinton said.
Host Matt Lauer asked Clinton what her immediate reaction was when President Donald Trump fired Comey in May.
"Over the years, going all the way back to the Whitewater inquisition, it's seemed as if many of those in charge of political coverage at the New York Times have viewed me with hostility and skepticism", she wrote.
"He could have called me up. But he should have been disciplined for the way that he behaved on the email investigation, and in fact, the deputy attorney general, backed by the attorney general of this administration, laid out in excruciating detail all of the protocols and rules that he broke".
"No nation, particularly an adversary nation, can mess with our democracy", the former secretary of state said. I would have done everything I could to get to the bottom of it because it's not going to stop. Clinton then cited her polling in the Philadelphia suburbs before the Comey letter compared to how she did in the election in those suburbs.
Clinton continued, claiming "sexism and misogyny, which are endemic to our society".

So she whined about Edward Brooke in her 1969 commencement speech and I am sure she was angry with Ralph Nader in 2000 and in 2016 it was Bernie Sanders and also Jill Stein. A real farce, lol.

They ARE going at us (the United States). But they have no better friends in the US than the demonRat party, as it was they who were in bed with the Russians, on missile defense, nukes, including the Iran nuke deal that Putin is so crazy about, the Uranium One deal where Hillary allowed them to buy up 20% of our uranium production, chunk of which they've already transferred to their Iranian pawns...
It was also the dems under Comrade Obama who slashed our military to pieces, just as Russia and the ChiComs were major moves on the world stage.
On the other hand, Trump-Pence pledged to significantly INCREASE spending on the military. So why in hell would the Russians, who are in the process of basically reforming the evil empire that was the Soviet Union, and then-some when you factor in positions in the energy=rich strategic Middle East, prefer Trump over ANY democrat, particularly those who so clearly dislike our military and want to minimize it. Makes no sense at all.
Kabuki theatre. If Comey really had hurt her chance, he wouldn’t still be breathing.

If Hillary couldn't lure Stein's voters away in 2016, what assurance does she have that these voters would have been motivated enough to come out and vote for her if Stein weren't on the ballot?
