As summer ends and the race for the 2020 Democratic U.S. presidential nomination shifts into a higher gear, former Vice President Joe Biden's perilous position atop the vast field stands to be tested under even more pressure.
Biden, 76, has consistently maintained a comfortable lead over his rivals. But his campaign has been plagued by doubts over his age, fitness for office and whether, as a moderate, he can be a standard-bearer for a party that has grown increasingly liberal.
Those questions are likely to be magnified in the coming weeks.
Labor Day serves as the traditional marker for the White House race to intensify, with five months to go until the first nominating contest - February in Iowa - in the state-by-state process of picking the party's nominee to challenge Republican President Donald Trump in the November 2020 election.

None of the Dems are going to wear well through an entire campaign. My bet is that they are going to be so heavily damaged that they will be replaced in a brokered convention in July 2020 by a dark horse candidate, probably Oprah.
Oprah would never survive a long slog of a campaign, but she could survive a very short campaign, so grab your pics of Oprah with Weinsyein, Epstein, now, and get going on oppo research. She could be taken down as a corrupt woman willing to feed the innocent to monsters in order to get ahead, and as a woman who is so in love with narrative that she makes horrendously bad personal judgments about people.
The reason such a weak candidate is the front runner is all the others are weaker. Churchill said it best.

Is that true? I don’t think so. Labor Day of the election year signals the campaign to shift into high gear. I’d never heard any particular significance being applied to Labor Day of the year prior having particular significance. My point being, on issues both great and small, they just make facts up to fit their narrative.
