The Left/Dems are just bloody unbelievable (to use a great British expression). Sheesh! So the witch doesn't want loggers to make money. So it's better to have whole swaths of forrest devastated by a beetle and left standing dead and dry just waiting for a lightening strike or some terrorist (domestic or foreign variety) to cause havoc. When the good Lord was handing out brains, He must have given the defective lot to Leftists.

What will it take for the good citizens of this country to wake up and see what the leftist extremists have done to our country.

How about a terrorist bombing of one of our Naval ships...no, that won't do it. I know! How about an immoral, Marxist, commie loving, liar for a president -- ummm, probably not. Wait a minute! This outta do it: A terrorist bombing of the WTC. No? Hmmm. Most of SoCal destroyed by fires that could have been prevented? Well, if not that, then.............????

Here''s an update - My brother Bryce and I have just returned from the Crestline community. We were allowed up to the Rim of the World high school because we took a truck load of food to the fire fighters. Many homes in the Rim Forest area are gone and the fire has moved up the hill from there. The Falcon Cable building is gone but the Elks Lodge, lumber yard, and most commercial buildings along the road are still intact with a few small fires still burning along the road. There are over a dozen fire trucks at gas station as that location has become a resting area for several of them. In Crestline from Goodwins parking lot one can see the fire on Strawberry hill moving north north/east down toward Lake Gregory. It appears to be a mile and a half away and not all that big as of yet. In addition we drove to Richard Mondors house in Cedar Pines to get a vantage of the fire coming from the north. There were only two hot spots that had crossed the ridge over two miles away to the northwest with fire crews stationed at the VFW. As to Johnnies market, it was NOT looted. Harold had opened it up to let people in as the kind man that he is. We stopped by the Stockade and had a quick beer, as theres still a dozen people milling around there. They say they plan on being the welcoming committee once we all return home. The BEST NEWS is that there is NO ash in the air or on the ground in Crestline. Im presently staying at March ARB and its raining ash here, some 40 miles away.

Just on the Channel 7 KABC ticker here in L.A., the Dept. of Homeland Security is setting up a Grant and Loan program for fire victims... (?!) Isn't this FEMA's job? Or are they unofficially saying it MIGHT BE/COULD BE terrorism? Or maybe I just need to read more about Homeland Security.

FEMA is part of the Homeland Security Department. It was one of the agencies rolled into the new homeland department.

When I left for work this morning, firefighters were making a stand along the highway just below a high school — I think the name was Rim of the World HS, but not sure. Anyway, do you know if they saved the school?

I think you will soon find out that this was an error in reporting. This will be under FEMA.
