"All Americans must recognize that the face of terror is not the true faith -- face of Islam. Islam is a faith that brings comfort to a billion people around the world. It's a faith that has made brothers and sisters of every race. It's a faith based upon love, not hate."

I hope the President is just spouting the (unfortunately) necessary PC rhetoric and knows in his heart and mind that it is a massive load of _ _ _ _. If he beleives what he says, we are in deep _ _ _ _.

Is Christianity a one-time a year deal?

If President Bush is a Methodist, which I believe he is, then yes, he believes this load of crap. Not that every Methodist believes this, but as a former Methodist I know that they tend to be weak on the exclusive claims of Christ and tend to want to be equalitarian. We all worship the same God, all roads lead to heaven etc. etc. All of which is completely unbiblibcal, but when your driving principle is a weird kind of religionised humanism then you don't worry too much about what the Bible says.

For some we've emptied a gut and are just dry heaving.

Yes that sounds like every Methodist I've ever met. They might as well call their churches covens or public schools.

I understand that...that's not my point.

My point is, the pandering is getting ridiculous.

it's bush's rhetoric that's a bit much. not the fact that he mentions islam, or christianity, or judaism.
what about the buddhists, or hindus? he doesn't seem to gout of his way to proclaim their peacefulness as he does islam.
he's promoting that damn cult.

"... Islam is a faith that brings comfort to a billion people around the world. It's a faith that has made brothers and sisters of every race. It's a faith based upon love, not hate."

It is a faith that leads it's folowers into eternal condemnation and Hell.

Something which Mr. Bush seems to encourage.

Contemporay Christianity in action?

I sure hope that all the "guests" went through metal detectors, and were personally frisked as we are at the airport, and that all the guests enjoyed their pork roast dinner.

Pork-the other white meat!
