Pro-Abortion Groups Start Ad Campaigns Blasting President Bush

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Pro-abortion groups are planning to launch an advertising campaign blasting President Bush for signing the ban on partial-birth abortions.

NARAL is planning the most concerted effort. The pro-abortion group is spending more than $500,000 to air a week's worth of ads attacking Bush in Iowa and New Hampshire, the first two states in next year's presidential primary. Ads will also air in Washington, DC.

Kate Michelman, the group's president, said, "George Bush has crossed a line, and we are going to be working hard to make sure every member of America's pro-choice majority understands the significance."

The 30-second ad depicts the abortion ban as the first step in making all abortions illegal and is similar to past ad efforts by abortion advocates to motivate pro-abortion voters by claiming Roe v. Wade is close to being overturned by the Supreme Court.

The spot is set in a doctor's office, with a camera trained on a closed door

"President Bush just signed the first federal law that will criminalize safe medical procedures -- a law with no exception to protect a woman's health," the female announcer says. "Once government is in the door, who knows what they'll do next?"

Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood of New York City is set to launch an ad campaign as well trashing Bush.

The campaign includes a 60-second radio advertisement that will be aired by two top-ranked radio stations in New York City.

The ad features a telephone operator who encourages a sleepy New York woman to "wake up and protect your rights and your health" and warns her to "keep dreaming" if she thinks President Bush and his friends in Congress will protect those rights.

"We are hoping to be a model for the pro-choice candidates who will be taking the president on next year,'' added David Seldin, NARAL's spokesman.

Our response should be airing a commercial showing the brutality of these murders - it would repulse anyone with a conscience.

How about the perfect reply. A 30 second spot showing the process of aborting a baby. What is this BAN on showing abortion? How can someone defend it and demand to never actually SEE it?

You know, what are you to expect from these people. They are so left they make Marx look like Reagan. Its stupidity pure and simple. I am not even a religious person and I can see the problem with allowing abortion. Its rediculous. It(abortion) is not even about a woman's right to choose, it is a matter of human rights. Life begins at conception, therefore, killing life after conception is murder. Plain and simple!

"President Bush just signed the first federal law that will criminalize safe medical procedures

Safe for the mother, maybe. How about safe for the baby?

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY A PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION IS PREFERABLE TO A CESEREAN SECTION, WHICH WILL SAVE THE LIFE OF BOTH THE BABY AND THE MOTHER?!?!

Sorry, I'll stop yelling now.

NARAL and NOW might as well be running ads against Democrats. After all, a very large number of Democratic Party Congressmen and Senators voted for this PBA law. Moreover, most Americans favor restrictions on the more extreme forms (and times) of abortion. Reminding them that Bush is on their side will hardly hurt him, and certainly won't help the Leftists running for office.

In short, Bring It On!

These ads will appeal to no one who doesn't already hate President Bush. But the dirty little secret that the media don't want you to know about is that most people really don't like the idea of abortion, and don't really want to hear about it. So, if anything, this will probably encourage a few wavering people to vote for Bush.

It's no secret that the reason that a LOT of Democrats voted in favor of this bill, although they normally always vote for abortion, is that Partial Birth Abortion is extremely unpopular with most people. They really don't like to hear about pulling a baby out of the womb and sucking his brains out. Even Daschle voted for it, because he knows when he's licked.

According to Fox, these folks shopped and found their friendly Judge in NE to sign a stay on the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Bill taking effect. Dont' take it anymore -- Please call talk radio and write your media today to protest. You can find the information you need for your area by visiting Bush-Cheney '04 at:

Pro-Abortion Groups...

Thanks for using the accurate description "pro-abortion." Usually in the media, often even here on FR, the pro aborts are described as "pro-choice."

Politicians who describe themselves as "pro-choice" should be immediately asked, "choice with regard to what?" Make them say that they are indeed pro-abortion!

They just can't admit that any form of abortion is wrong. It's against their principles. Let 'em squirm.

Hard-core supporters on both sides won't be swayed one way or the other by these ads. The majority of the remaining fifty percent of America is against this procedure. These groups would be just as effective with ads talking up the positive qualities of Saddam Hussein or Osama Bin Laden.

Let them waste their money while forcing the Dem presidential candidates to back away from their positions.

People would be swayed by actual video of abortions and the left overs. I can't believe some of the people I meet that say they agree with it. I know if they saw what happened they'd be vomitting in the toilet.
