President Bush secretly landed an hour ago and is currently eating Thanksgiving dinner at my undisclosed location. Anticipate a press release after he takes off.

Hill has to rewrite that poison speech of hers, badmouthing the president on Iraq and for not making any sacrifices like the troops who're putting their lives on the line.

Just one more thing to be thankful for.

US President George W. Bush speaks to US troops at Baghdad Airport during a surprise Thanksgiving Day visit. Bush made the Thanksgiving visit to troops in Baghdad under the greatest secrecy and security.

Thank you TexKat

On the table was a free-range DNC turkey, Clinton cornbread dressing, Geraldo sweet potatoes, Mc Cauliffe mashed potatoes, asparagus and a salad of Texas grapefruit, toasted walnuts and greens all marinated in a Dashle-Kennedy sauce.

FANTASTIC!!! Thank you Chief!

This is a real morale-booster for the troops! To know the CIC is willing to put his own hide into the combat zone. The cover story of being in Texas was perfect. I hope he is already out of the theater though. No need for Saddam/Osama to have another crack at the Bushes.

"I was Freepin when Freepin wasn't cool!"

Why child, back in MY day, we had to walk 5 miles in the snow barefoot just to Freep. You young whippersnappers have it too easy these days. :-)

You've taken me aback with that thought!
I think we've held up pretty well.

The class of '98 was more generalist than '97, but more focussed on governance and media than the following classes.

Time does goes on for everyone. I don't reply much except on a couple of my hot-button topics, but I still read FR pretty much twice every day.

Well, I hope our troops in Afghanistan and everywhere else around the world and here at home realize that while they may not have gotten a visit from Bush, he appreciates each and every one of them and his message was for all of them.

"Today, Americans are gathering with their loved ones to give thanks for the many blessings in our lives. And this year we are especially thankful for the courage and the sacrifice of those who defend us, the men and women of the United States military.

I bring a message on behalf of America: We thank you for your service, we're proud of you, and America stands solidly behind you. Together, you and I have taken an oath to defend our country. You're honoring that oath. The United States military is doing a fantastic job."
