President Bush secretly landed an hour ago and is currently eating Thanksgiving dinner at my undisclosed location. Anticipate a press release after he takes off.

Speaking of the parade, did they let that freak, Harvey Fierstein, remain in the parade as Mrs. Claus? Fierstein was on his own float dressed as Mrs. Claus. He was not with "Santa", thank goodness. The beautiful thing was this - just as he started to sing his number for the camera, NBC cut away for the Bush in Iraq news. The timing couldn't have been any better! Bush preempted Hillary! and Fierstein. Ha! And Campbell Brown couldn't have been any more sour being forced to report about the surprise visit. Triple schadenfreude.

Thanks. It was not a day for picture taking. We just wanted to say thanks and wish them well.

I'm sure hearing about President Bush's trip to Baghdad cheered the folks at Walter Reed. We didn't get the confirmation until after we left, so we didn't tell them about it. God bless those guys. They've given so much for us.

Hi Kathy,

Please keep me apprised?

I have some folks from the "Holiday Appeal for Walter Reed Hospital Soldiers - JOE GALLOWAY" who want to send clothes and stuff for the guys directly to me, to make sure it really gets there!

I'm sure getting in to the Red Cross office won't be a problem but keeping current names, in order to get through the gates will be important.

I forgot to mention - when I walked into Sgt. Santo's room - he immediately said, "Are you from Free Republic, too?" I laughed and said, "yes, we are here to visit you today, at the request of your 1 SGT." He then said, "that guy's something else". Yup, he sure is.

It was great to see you again as well. Kristinn is trying to convince me to attend the DC Chapter dinner - I told him I would.

Blessings,

Truthy

Hillary lives in the shadows

I don't think you can see her in a mirror either.

HOW IT ALL WENT DOWN: DETAILED REPORT OF BUSH'S SECRET TRIP
(a pool reporter's private notes)

Drudge Report ^ | 11/27/03 | Mike Allen
Posted on 11/27/2003 4:10 PM PST by Maria S

The President left Waco secretly Wednesday at 8:25 p.m. Eastern (7:25 p.m. Texan) with a small pool, stopped at Andrews to pick up a few staff and a few more poolers, change planes and then head to Baghad. Both flights were what we think of as the normal Air Force One, Boeing 747 with the normal marking. The President landed in darkness at Baghdad International Airport at 9:31 a.m. Washington time (5:32 p.m. local) on Thursday, Nov. 27, Thanksgiving Day. He took off at 12:03 p.m. Eastern time, so was in Baghdad roughly 2.5 hours.

The staff aimed to keep the trip secret until after he had taken off from Baghdad ? no filing was permitted from the site, by the pool or by locals. The President landed with barely a sliver of a moon. He was already in a white Land Rover or Land Cruiser by the time the pool reached the Tarmac. The staff said the motorcade was 12 vehicles plus a military ambulance. Short motorcade of less than five minutes through a blacked out, rutty part of the airport, which looks like a military base...

From the obvious lack of education to the sophomoric tone of your posts, I'd have to agree with the second half of your screen name. I may not be educated i may be sophomoric whatever i am is my business not yours if you don't like what i post on or reply to don't read it it's a simple thing to do . Your name wasn't in the [To] Header so it's really none of your business what i write. My apologies were made well before you stuck your nose in our business . That aside happy thanksgiving to you and yours Regards ATOMIC_PUNK

You did the right thing. The key word "Iraq" was a giveaway, but it is a great thing that we have a Freeper there to report it.

Thank you for your service. May God bless you and your family and protect you and all our troops.

Thank you for posting this historical event! I've been pleased as punch all day - it's made my Thanksgiving one of the best ever knowing our president cared enough about our brave soldiers.
