The Delta Airlines terminal at LaGuardia Airport in New York was evacuated due to a women who slipped past security screeners after setting off the metal detectors. More to follow as information is released.

The Delta teminal at La Guardia has been evacuated following a woman passing through, and setting off metal detectors, then being lost in the crowd by screeners. The airport is in the process of rescreening all passengers in the terminal. Many domestic flights are being delayed.

Most cases like this involve people who are late for their flights and desperate. She picked a bad time to be late to the airport though.

Breach Evacuates Delta Terminal At LaGuardia Wednesday December 24, 2003
(New York-AP) -- The Delta Airlines terminal at LaGuardia was evacuated this evening and outbound flights at that terminal are being temporarily delayed.
Transportation Safety Administration spokeswoman Amy von Walter said a female passenger set off a metal detector and went into the concourse before she could be re-screened.
It was not immediately clear how the passenger bypassed the guards, or how long the terminal will be shut down.
