There's just SO much missing from this story. How did she meet the two men? Why did she go to their room? Why were they asleep when she was there?

It just doesn't add up.

A naked 18-year old cheerleader falls from a hotel balcony, with alcohol in her system, and the two supects with "inconsistencies" in their stories are released and it's classified as an accident. Something stinks here...

i agree, should look into date rape drug , ectasy, or some other mind altering drug the boys used on her. god help me that I brought my children up well enough to stay out of situations that arise from not being cautious and using your head.

Accidents do happen. Maybe she outdrank them, they passed out and she wandered out to the balcony and lost her balance. Who knows. There's always some story in the paper about some college student falling out of a dorm window after heavy drinking.

The answer may lie with the 'connections' of the young men.

Because none of this story makes any sense at all for now.

My greatest fear is that my daughter wants to become a cheerleader, but I have a few years to divert her attention. When I was in high school ('88), my girlfriend was a cheerleader. The stories I heard after her trips to competitions would make any parent shudder.

I used to be a police officer assigned to a suburban LA high school, and my biggest problems came from the cheerleaders and their parents. I had a group of seven of them on their way to an off-campus practice take a detour to beat the crap out of a girl that didn't make the squad. What a nightmare. Nothing surprises me when cheerleaders are involved.

That's not to say they're all bad, but parents, use caution when allowing your kids to join the cheerleading squad. Go to a couple of games and see what they do. They dance like stripper-apprentices these days.

Why did she go to their room?

A) She was drugged, or,

B) She was really, really stupid.

Have I missed any possibilities?
