Senator John McCain stood up to Imus on this one! Imus comments that proof of an allegation is not on the accuser because "it doesn't work that way" speaks volumes to me.

Clintons are behind the resurfacing and using their friends in the press to spread the allegations that are without fact. IMO, the Clintons are running this DemocRAT primary for the sole purpose of trashing Pres Bush during the primary season. Kerry was annointed by the Clintons and why the convention was put in Boston. Dean came in and upset plans, so they first jumped on the Edwards bandwagon and got Clark in the race as a new face and in the process started their work in taking out Dean. It worked and after today, would expect Kerry to be carrying the banner for the RATs even stronger. The RAT candidates won't be dropping out so that the race can continue on and the bashing for Pres Bush continue by all the RAT candidates.

IMHO, the DemocRAT Primary is nothing but a farce -- light bulb came on last night that this whole RAT primary has been a farce with the sole intent to destroy Pres Bush's numbers and his credibility during the RAT Primary season. It was and has been orchestrated by the Clintons because Clintonites are involved in all the major candidate campaigns.

BTW -- the bold is mine.

Imus is a dirtbag. His sensibilities are indistingishable from his butt buddies, Chris Matthews and Howard Fineman. I heard some of this interview. Imus is part of the Cheney-Rumsfeld are evil crowd. Bush is a nice guy taking evil advice from liars. That's their premise. But ulimately, Imus is trying to sell advertising. Nothing more.

I thought Imus could read, but I guess not. There is a Times article debunking this whole thing. A Google search using " Bush Times AWOL" turns up plenty of references.

If Imus is too lame to even do a Google search before openinng his mouth and misinforming everyone why should we listen to his sorry excuse for a show? Isn't he supposed to be drawing disability or something?

Senator John McCain stood up to Imus on this one!

Thats the way it looks on the surface, but this:

IMUS: If you don't know that that's the case, that means it's never cleared up then.

MCCAIN: Everything that I've heard -- every bit of information I've ever heard, I never got into it because I wasn't that interested, is that he served honorably and well. And I assume that to be the case.

is probably going to leave more doubt in some people's minds.

I think we should welcome a full review of Kerry's records as well. He testified before Congress about atrocities committed by soldiers in Vietnam that were proven to be false - his buddies in the VVAW were imposters....most had never served in Vietnam and some had never served at all. One phony was Joe Yandle who used PTSS as an excuse to beat a murder rap - when it was later learned that Yandle never served in Vietnam, he was re-arrested and sent back to prison. Kerry knowingly gave false testimony to Congress and participated in a fraud.

You know, I've never paid too much attention to any of these claims because I've assumed that they would just dry up and blow away, but I'm apparently wrong. One of the problems here, I think, is that the whole thing comes across as very murky to the average person. For example, I'm sure a lot of people must wonder why it is claimed he was AWOL from the Alabama National Guard when he was in the Texas National Guard.

Somehow, someone needs to get the facts on all this and figure out a way to describe his National Guard experience in two or three short paragraphs, including an identification of the charges and the facts that refute those charges. Clarity is desperately needed here.

Seems that Imus is of the opinion that if I accuse him of, say, being a pedophile, it's true unless he can prove otherwise.

For those who don't listen to him, IMUS has been backing Pres. Bush since he defeated McCain in the primaries, but his support is starting to waiver since the Iraq war thanks to Baghdad Bernard MaGirk's anti Rumsfeld and Cheney attitude.

As far as Sen. McCain he has really come around lately. In New Hampshire he was solidly behind the president. I guess there's hope for all of us.

Doesn't this really mean that the Clinturds and McAwful are challenging the National Guard itself? Bush was awarded an Honorable Discharge. Questioning that, seems to question the judgement of the unit commander and Guard itself.

It's thinly veiled contempt for the military IMO in addition to it's obvious political motives.

I agree with those who say this is a preemptive strike to try to keep Republicans away from Kerry's traitorous activities in support of Vietnam Veterans Agains the War.

The simple answer is that if Bush hadn't made up missed meetings, he wouldn't have accumulated enough points to get an honorable discharge.

In the American media, it doesn't work that way. Imus is right to point that unpleasant reality out.

Of course it was. Look at Chris Mathews' weekly interviews with the seven Democratic candidates. Each one was on his show just once, but it amounted to seven weeks of Bush bashing. To be "fair" I guess they propose to give candidate Bush "one" week too.

They are corrupt and dirty and will do anything to win the White House, including risking our national security.
