Yeah 1000 "adults". Give me a break. The "base" has made itself irrelevant in presidential politics staring in 1992 with Perot, in 1996 with Perot again and staying at home and in 2000 with PJB and staying at home to the tune of 4 million true conservatives". Bush may lose this election but he will either lose it or win it without the "base" because once again the "base" is acting as an opposition party. Win or lose, the "base" loses big time.

I'm part of President Bush's base, as are my 5 sisters, and about 40 voting age nieces/nephews/cousins. I haven't been polled and neither have they, but were that to happen, we would NOT be a part of that decline in support. All of us strongly support his re-election.
