It's so hot here in the summer. Hot, hot, hot. Not like comfortable California. No siree. You'd have to be crazy to move here. It's just sooooo hot.

It's hot in Mexico too. They feel at home in Arizona because of the heat.

If I didn't live here I'd live somewheres else!

This is not the place to be, not at all, ever, never, ever.

Not to worry my friends.

As long as Bush keeps inviting them and Schwarzenegger keeps welcoming them they are going to keep passing through Arizona and Texas on their way to California.

If on the other hand, the California electorate rises up against Bush and Schwarzenegger and pulls the rug out from beneath their pandering our unwelcome guests may well decide to linger near their POE.

I wouldn't move to Oregon either. It just rains and rains and rains. We never see the sun and moss grows on everything. I don't know why anyone would want to move to oregon.

Some of us in flyover country like it here. I enjoy 4 seasons, I like big water fishing in the Great Lakes, I enjoy hunting all over the midwest. I have less intrusive politics than most folks. They leave me alone when we have large parties, they don't bitch about rifle sighting in the back before hunting season and I don't get crap about 3 day pig roasts. You just have to figure out where to fit in.

I grew up in Chicago and moved to a small town near the Wisconsin border, definately liked the small town better. I prefer the mountains and forests in Oregon the best though.

LOL, your all right, you can't beat Southern California weather, no brutal heat, no nasty humidity, mild breezes, little rain, etc. It's can't be beat anywhere in this country. 70 degrees today in January, everything is green, flowers are blooming, Orange and Avocado trees are full, life is good. I did get a little chilly tonight, I think it's all they way down to 59 or 60. Life is good.

Never fear, some of us have no desire to leave California and go to the brutal heat of the Arizona desert.

California, crown jewel of this great country.

The weather is fine...if you can get out of the horrible traffic to enjoy it. My office was 9 miles from Miramar Lake. That was my preferred place for speed skating. If I left my office at 4:30 PM, I could make it to the parking lot by 6 PM during the work week. No point in even considering skating after work. On Saturday, I could drive the 3 miles from my house to the lake in 35 minutes. Better, but why end up in a shrivet from living in a constant traffic jam?

BTW, I only have 7 feet of snow piled up on my front lawn. We picked up another 2 feet of accumulation Saturday. At the current pace of snowfall, I won't have to worry about even seeing the front lawn until April or May. No lawn mowing...yippeee!

Can you cross country ski down your street? Snow shoe around the back yard? Sled down the hills at the local park? Ice skate at the outdoor city park? Play with a snowmobile within 1/4 mile of your driveway?

We'll be on mountain bikes, skate boards, dirt bikes, jet skis and water skis and other summer appropriate stuff by mid-May.

You always post beautiful pictures of the back country. How about some equal time showing the streets and freeways jammed with cars that are filled with people flipping birdies and honking? How about some night shots by the border with groups of illegal aliens running across the freeways at night? A few pics of the illegals hanging out in shopping centers waiting for jobs...or sneaking up to the hose bib on YOUR house to get some water as they go door to door looking for gardening jobs. A picturesque view of a downtown business owner hosing off the urine and feces from the doorway before opening for business. The warm weather attracts homeless people year round. Business doorways are a place to flop for the night. And how about a quick video of the indoor malls with large latino gangs? You're leaving out so much of the real flavor of California.
