If one tenth of the attention given to persecution of muslims were given to persecution of jews and christians by Islamic terrorists, the world would be much better informed. After 9/11 the media gave nominal "greiving" over the victims, but all they would put in their editorials was that we shouldn't persecute our arab neighbors. WHAT ABOUT MY HUMAN RIGHTS?!

"Most of the country's 500,000 Muslims live in rural towns in Andalusia, where they work the farms and greenhouses. But many are beginning to migrate north to Madrid, where they work construction jobs, clean houses or find similar work."

Just doing the work the spanish people won't do. Blah, blah, blah...

"For nearly 800 years, the Moors ruled Spain from its southern stronghold, al-Andalus, marking a period of enlightenment and relative tolerance while the rest of Europe thrashed about in the Dark Ages."

The New York Times, when given an international audience, bears its true bias.

Here's an idea: why don't they take to the streets to protest the terrorists who are sullying their good names? They seem to have no problem complaining about all the rest of us...

"Rome is a good example."

Yup they had barbarians in the army. When their tour was up, they went back home and used Roman tactics and strategy against the empire.

Backlash?

If I was a islamofascist living in Spain, I'd be celebrating Allah by beating myself bloody with a cat-o-nines.

Afterall, the infidels have surrendered their will.

For nearly 800 years, the Moors ruled Spain from its southern stronghold, al-Andalus, marking a period of enlightenment and relative tolerance while the rest of Europe thrashed about in the Dark Ages.

By 1492, the Spaniards had completed the reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula, forcing Muslims to convert, persecuting them and finally driving them back to where they came from.

No bias in this Islamophilic-Europhobic article.

I have a Jewish friend who grew up in Morroco. Stories of his childhood are not very pretty.

Oh heck. Just hand them Grenada and be done with it. Then you can give them Toledo and Seville because you have already surrendered.

Attack them? You just gave them the national treasury, the government and the keys to the cities.

Maybe we could encourage some of the illegal Latin American immigrants here to move to Spain to displace some of these Muslims moving north. If purchased in bulk, tickets from Houston to Madrid can be had for as little as $150 one way.

i agree with you . But at the same time i think that
the words of the head guy Ali El Messery (sounds
like el misery) which condemn the bombings
are a step in the right direction. If he is sincere,
perhaps we (USA) can enlist his aid in setting up just
the protests that you describe and set up some
kind of anti-terrorist organization within the spanish
muslim community.

Hey, it never hurts to try...

What do they have to brace for? They won! The DUers, KerryKoolAid Bunch and other Socialists owe the Islamofascists their victory. Spain has capitulated and will soon be incorporated into Eurabia.

The NYT will never get it Spain is for Spanish people, the name of the country gives it away; and America is for Americans! I really wonder how the NYT will react when the Islamofascists attack the appeasing French. The Moors invaded Spain and massacred Christians for 800 years, kind of like the Pax Romana that the Christians and Jews endured earlier. I really wish Maureen Dowd and Co. would realize that if their "peaceful" Muslim friends get what they want the Times building will be a mosque and they will be beheaded with the other "infidels". When will these people wake up?

Peking/Beijing also. The Emperor brought in Mongolian mercenaries to put down a rebellion. Afterwards, they looked around, liked what they saw, and took over.
