Perfect strategy. The news of heavily armed Peshmerga hunting in their Sunni neighborhoods will make the Baathist scum soil their pants, and hasten the incentive of jihad-free locals to give the terrorists up. Bush and his lieutenants are doing this thing just right.

I should say "Falujhian" neighborhoods instead of Sunni, since many Iraqi ethnic Kurds are Sunni Muslims.

I'd like nothing more than to watch Shia vs Suni civil war...however that does nothing to advance our true Mission in Iraq

But can they handle the truth? Can their national psyche handle it?

Without reading Travis' response I find this interesting. Is this the Bush administration sending a signal that the Iraqi insurgants better rethink their treachery or face the very real possibility of losing a lot more than they bargained for?

I think it's a risky ploy because the average Iraqi might find this very objectionable. Still I kindof like the idea of mixing it up a bit. Let the Iraqi insurgents sweat what our next move will be.

There's one good upside to this. With the Kurds in the mix, the US troops will likely be involved in fewer battles. Gotta like that prospect.

Thanks Dog.

I just paid for 100 arabic Bibles to be sent to Iraq. I hope their national psyche is shaken to the core.

Travis, just a little over four years ago our troops had very little to be happy about. As you said, who could have imagined? As far as the battle goes, Bush has been a pretty good leader. Looks like the troublemakers are about the get more whoop-ass than they ever imagined. Gotta love it.

There are so many incredible realities today. Just imagine, Polish, Ukrainian and Bulgarian soldiers fighting on the American side as our allies in Babylon!

Yeah, it's the Bible League. They've been smuggling Bibles into Commie and Islamic nations for years. I have paid for hundreds of Bibles to China in the past. They're a very cool organization. www.bibleleague.org

I will drive up to the neighborhood store and run it by the Kurdish owners. They did some fighting up there before coming to America and call there frequently. I'm sure they will be suprised. Will let you know the reaction.

Will the Kurds hesitate to pursue the enemy into mosques?

Pursuit into the mosque? What pursuit? There was no pursuit. Those Baathists just shot each other inside the mosque. That's our story and we're stickin' to it.

Wait a minute, how can that picture be real? I watched TV tonight, and our morale is terrible, we're taking massive casualties, we're pinned down fighting for our lives! That picture can't possibly be real!

But; Wait!!!

This makes Waaaay too much sense for the US Gub'mint, don't it?!

On FOX News tonight there was report of some Mosque being blown up as the "insurgents" (pretty name for terrorsits, don't you think?) were using it as a command center for killing our troops, and you'd think by the report that every single Iraqi was turning on us for it.

The Bulgarians got run out of one city they were holding, and it is reported that our Marines have been run out of Falluja... again.

Mobs are turning out all over Iraq, we are told, to pour scorn and contempt (if not bullets and RPG rounds) on whoever even looks like an American, and even their friends the Journalists have been getting kidnapped and worked over.
Listening to the reports on TV you'd think we were getting our butts whupped soundly over there and are on the brink of a full retreat or getting overrun and massacred!

Democrats must be delighted.

I sure hope that they're wrong about that - we've invested a lot in rebuilding that country, and it'd sure be a shame to have to bomb it all back to a desert of smoking rubble again, wouldn't it?

I'm thinking we just ought to turn the whole bloody place over the the Kurds and let them mediate between the warring tribes of savages.
Why shed any more precious American blood trying to "liberate" or "democratize" these savages; I had high hopes for them, but those hopes are beginning to rapidly dissipate.

They all seem most anxious to shed their own blood, as well as each others... maybe we just ought to stand back and let 'em have at it, eh?

Let's hope it is true that the Kurds are at last going to be turned loose on the scum that has been oppressing and murdering them for the past 25 years or so; I'd say "justice" is long overdue them.

If our fair-weather "friends" the Turks don't like it, let them just whiz in their hookah and smoke it.

Here's another idea; if the benificiaries of coallition mercy, largesse and charity want to show their appreciation by slitting our thoats, then why not invite the IDF to join the coallition? They'd just love that, wouldn't they?

In the meantime - Go Kurds!

It has NEVER been difficult to determine who your TRUE friends were...
In battle - or in times of extreme hardship --- it is the man that is THERE at your side, enduring the hardships and risks with you...

In a city of 400,000 --- our friends shouldn't have had to come so far...
Where are the residents that wish to be free?
Where are the "Peace and Freedom Loving Muslims" of this city - that will stand with us?

In Iraq --- it seems that the Kurds are the MOST reliable friends.

If I had a long enough extension cord I'd just set my TV up in my garden and play CNN all day. I'd never have to buy fertilizer again.
