AIR AMERICA LIBERAL RADIO NET TAKEN OFF AIR IN LOS ANGELES, CHICAGO

After just two weeks on the air, Air America Radio, the fledgling liberal talk-radio network featuring Al Franken and Janeane Garofalo, appears to have encountered serious cash-flow problems.

The CHICAGO TRIBUNE is developing a story, insiders tell DRUDGE, on how the network was pulled off the air this morning in Chicago and Los Angeles, the network's second- and third-largest markets, because, the owner of both stations said, the network bounced a check and owes him more than $1 million! A charge the network strongly denies...

A Chicago source familiar with the situation said a Multicultural representative showed up at WNTD's offices Wednesday morning, kicked out Air America's lone staffer overseeing the network's feed to the station from New York, switched over to a Spanish-language feed, and changed the locks on the doors...

Air America filed a complaint Wednesday in New York state Supreme Court charging Multicultural with breaching their contract and seeking an injunction to force Multicultural to restore the Air America broadcast on both stations, the TRIBUNE has learned... Developing...

Good grief. Talk about a naive liberal.

- The ancient Jews wanted to live in peace, but the Romans wanted to conquer them. Anyone remember Masada? (I don't need to be Jewish to know my history).

- The medieval Russians wanted peace, but the Mongols wanted to conquer them. The Russians were decades (or was it centuries?) throwing them off.

- The Chinese wanted peace...and the Japanese *really* wanted to expand. How many times did they fight?

- The Anglo-Saxons wanted peace, but a guy named William had something to say about that. In case you're wondering, he has a lot to do with the fact that we say "houses" instead of "housen".

- Most of eastern Europe wanted peace, but the Ottoman Turks wanted to expand. What's four hundred years of Turkish rule between friends?

- The Poles wanted to live in peace...but the Prussians, Austro-Hungarians, and Russians wanted their land. Poland ACTUALLY DISAPPEARED for a while.

- Ever heard of Napoleon? Need I say any more?

- Ever heard of ADOLF HITLER? Do any liberals think any flavor of "humanism" would have worked on him? Go ahead, you liberals, take a whack at it. Make any argument you want regarding this guy: I triple-dog dare you. Think you could have found a soft spot in Hitler's heart before September 1, 1939?

It's real simple. People are broken. Humanism doesn't work because there will always be some greedy SOB who doesn't give a rat's behind what you think or how much it hurts when he hacks off the favorite part of your body to get what he wants. That's why humanism doesn't work: some people aren't human, never were human, and never will be human.

I live by the following quote:

"The naive, wishing for peace, is the surest possible way to encourage an aggressor."

A very well respected radio station owner mentioned today that the money AA is payying the stations is outrageous, way out of line. It may be that AA is trying to have the courts rewrite the contract to be representative of the local market conditions (court of equity).

It is also possible that the investors in AA have become very nervous about the lack of advertising and are pulling out before they dump a real pantload of cash into this turkey. It is possible that the investors are from the same group that pulled out of GoreCable.

the network bounced a check and owes him more than $1 million!

Are Franken and Garafolo asking a little too much for their "talents"? They should lower their rates drastically if they want a talk show.

The station in Chicago is Spanish, and the one in LA is Korean.

Too funny. I can just picture a Korean family sitting around listening to the radio: Turn it off, they're talkng in English again.

This is just too funny to risk any of y'all from missing any part of it.

**Snort** Like I've said before, they should leave it to the pros at the networks. Limousine liberals are a hoot to watch, eh? Seen their new logo patch?

"Like I've said before, they should leave it to the pros at the networks."

HEY!!
With a little messaging that wouldn't make a bad tagline!
Something like "Leave the Liberal-Socialist propaganda to the pros at the networks!" or some-such? {g}

"Limousine liberals are a hoot to watch, eh?"

Yea they sure are, FGS.
But its become way too easy to predict the time & place of their crash & burn, too.

Face it, whoever was doing the lion's share of financing for this flim-flam-fleecing endevour must've seen the handwritting on the proverbial wall & bailed, el pronto.
Naturally no one on the Liberal-Socialist side's going to admit that; but, we know what happened, eh? :o)

"Seen their new logo patch?"

HA!!
You're getting scarily good at that stuff, Mr.C!

but now that the Liberal-Socialist "enterprise" went belly up?

...that thing's extremely *collectable*. ;^)

I like it. We should work on a few more; who knows, we might come up with something really catchy. I like the idea of the Dims being able to save a ton of money[;^)] by foregoing campaign ads by just referencing specific media hit pieces on conservatives. Ketchup boy is already on board with the latest Woodward effluent(the title of which I can't/won't recall). It would also save the Dims a bundle on research, eh? How's about "No muss, no fuss; leave the campaigning to us"? "Campaign in a Can"? Anyway...

Naturally no one on the Liberal-Socialist side's going to admit that; but, we know what happened, eh?

We can hope that real world truisms will do their magic on the airheads. Developing?
