[history]
"When the State refuses to recognize the marriages performed by leaders of certain faiths it is doing nothing less than condoning discrimination against the couples and the religions who married them," Kors said.
"Each and every religion should have the right to determine for themselves what marriages they want to solemnize and the State, in authorizing religious leaders to perform marriages, should recognize the marriages performed by religious leaders regardless of the gender of the individuals involved." Geoffrey Kors, Executive Director of Equality California.

About Unitarian Universalism
With its historical roots in the Jewish and Christian traditions, Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religion -- that is, a religion that keeps an open mind to the religious questions people have struggled with in all times and places. We believe that personal experience, conscience and reason should be the final authorities in religion, and that in the end religious authority lies not in a book or person or institution, but in ourselves. We are a "non-creedal" religion: we do not ask anyone to subscribe to a creed.

The Association of Welcoming & Affirming Baptists
...all of you are one in Christ Jesus Galatians 3:28
Members of the Association of Welcoming & Affirming Baptists (AWAB) are churches, organizations, and individuals who are willing to go on record as welcoming and affirming all persons without regard to sexual orientation, and who have joined together to advocate for the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons within Baptist communities of faith.
We believe that it is clear in the scriptures that Jesus lived, died, and rose again as sign of God's tenacious love and that he opened the doors of God's kingdom for all people regardless of age, sex, race, or sexual orientation.
- Emmanuel Baptist Church, Albany, New York
...providing strength for the oppressed and encouragement for the disenfranchised is fundamental to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- First Baptist Church Berkeley, California
We are committed to a church membership open to all people without distinction (based on age, sex, race, sexual orientation, cultural background, education, familial status or economic accomplishments.)
- Central Baptist Church, Hartford, Connecticut
...the Bible describes the ministry of Jesus as one of unconditional acceptance, especially to those rejected by society, and of Justice with love.
University Baptist Church Minneapolis, Minnesota
...homosexuals in our society have suffered continuing injustice and have been rejected because of their sexual orientation by many citizens, including large numbers of members of Christian Churches.
- Church of the Covenant, Palmer, Alaska

Finally! Liberals have found an issue where the old separation of church and state canard doesn't apply since here's an opportunity to rub people of faith's noses in it. You know mocking the institution of marriage. This is just what they've been waiting for to get back at the rest of us who are unenlightened neanderthals who just don't understand gay marriage is vitally important for the advancement of civilization. Here's how liberals think when they think no one is watching them.

Unitarianism and the Reform Jewish paganism are perfect cults liberals could love. They're feel good, hip and make no real demands on their adherents. And they're interchangeable. You know how the old wag has it about what's the difference between a Christian liberal and a Jewish liberal? The liberalism comes first and the theology is just window dressing to deceive people into thinking they're occupied with other-worldly matters.

So I guess legal polygamy is fine then, according to this logic.

You are quite right about the Reform movement. The union of reform rabbis is a wholly owned subsidiary of the liberal movement, democrat party, anti second amendment, and pro homosexual anything. Signed, no longer a temple member.

DISCRIMINATION! DISCRIMINATION! And when it serves their purpose.....RACISM! RACISM! Of course there's always..... BIGOTRY! BIGOTRY! The lunatic fringe always has some rant they can pull out of their closet to attempt to make that which is real and right and true seem mean and corrupt, unfair and wicked. You can tell a tree by it's fruit.

Homosexual Agenda Ping + Triple Bagger California Alert.... :-(
They're fighting like cornered rats. They're afraid, angry, and vicious. Even rats will attack a human when cornered and afraid.
Why are they afraid? Two reasons:
1. God in their hearts is telling them they are going in the wrong direction, no matter how much they try to silence that voice.
2. They see that their pre-emptive attacks on morality and the natural family, especially with the legalizing sodomy decision (the SCOTUS/Lawrence decision), the Massachusetts "gay" marriage fight, and then to top it all off, the illegal and farcical sham "marriages" in SF and Portland HAVE NOT WORKED!!
People are more against "gay" marriage than they were last year. People who had a "live and let live" attitude about homosexuality have gotten disgusted with the onslaught of homosexual promotion and propanda.
Their push to normalize same sex behavior as a special community and identity is not working very well, and they are getting desperate.
We must fight, in whatever way each of us can, to protect marriage, the family, and children.

The California Council of Churches and ministers from the Unitarian Universalist, Baptist, United Methodist, and MCC faiths told lawmakers they support legislation proposed by Assembly Member Mark Leno (D-San Francisco) that would make marriage licenses available to same-sex couples.
Unitarians are not Christians. If there are Baptists that support this, then they are heretics; if there are United Methodists that support this they evidently have not read the writings of Wesley or the Bible, as for the MCC (Metropolitan Community Church) they are blatantly a gay organizion that twists the Word of God to suit their perversion.
There is no such thing as Christian pornography, Christian pedophiles, Christian rapists or Christian homosexuals.
They can twist and turn, except they repent, they will burn.
True Christians do not have a right to an opinion on such matters. To be a Christian we have to believe the Word. These people are wolves in sheep's clothing.
Blessings, Bobo
