If this doesn't give comfort to the enemy, I don't know what does!!! If you are as apalled and upset over this as I am, please let me know!

Isn't the "call to prayer" actually a recitation of the Islamic religion....as such..isn't it public proselityzing?

Outrage! The inmates are running the asylum. It doesn't matter what citizens think anymore, political correctness (?) wins again. This isn't America anymore.

What is this call? A dignified bell or chime, a blasting horn, or what?

The ACLU is always fighting churchs around the country for ringing their bells. This is not just bells this PRAYING TO ALLAH on loudspeakers! Where are these freeging bastards, and their separation of chrch and state crap! It is always OK to trash Christianity, but we should ALL respect other religions, even the one that preaches violance against us.

It's noise polution at the very least and something that would not be allowed for Christians.

Islam is a moronic death cult. Blithering idiots who worship murder. We should put a bounty on them.

Whoa! Wait a minute. Seems to me there's a legal issue here. If they can stop Christians from saying GOD out loud and in the Pledge, or saying prayer out loud, then they should not be allowed to put their prayer over a loud speaker and to force it on others. I sure hope Christians in Michigan take a stand against this whole idiotic idea. If we keep being tolerant, Muslims will overtake Christianity.

And in our city the city council said we could not ring the church bell to announce Sunday morning services. They say someone in the neighborhood complained and the church decided to stop ringing it.
I've been trying to get our church to ring it again despite what the city says and the complaint.

This can't be serious. Do really know what they're getting into?
5am call to prayer. That sucks. Will they next allow the 3am Koran reading too?
i've spent time in Indonesia, and all the loud speakers start up at 3am with the Koran reading, then 5am for the call to prayer, and it continues all through the day until around 10pm. I think there may be something at 12am, but i don't remember.

BTW, aren't these council members elected? Get rid of all of 'em.
Here it is, the beginning of trying to convert Americans to Islam.

I am apalled, but how did it happen? Is the local islamic population large enough for a mandate? If not, then the people who oppose it deserve what they get for not standing up. Ain't unchecked immigration a wonderful thing?

Are there any schools within the range of the loud speakers? If so, then this is bringing "religion" into the classsrooms and school yards. They sure wouldn't allow a Christian church to broadcast across the street from a school.
