Never gave it a thought. I frame remarks what I regard as true, not by what-if-they-sue legal thinking. When you start caving in to litigiousness, truth will be the first casualty.

I might add, I have no wish to defame or libel anyone. Not out of legal worries but because it's wrong.

Nevertheless, since somebody raised the legal matter, it is kind of fun to think about. If you have dark secrets, a lawsuit is the fast road to get them exposed. For example, Alger Hiss was egged on by the whole elitist liberal world he inhabited to sue Whittaker Chambers, or else lose his credibility. That opened the whole case to critical examination. In the end, not only the jury but the world knew that Hiss was a Soviet agent, and that he lied, and lied, and lied, denying it.

Bulimia, causing a heart attack, depriving Terri's brain of oxygen was the cause of her injuries? At least Grimm's Fairy Tales usually have a happy ending. Terri's teeth were never acid-eroded, Lug, Terri never had muscle cramps, Lug, Terri's potassium was out of whack, but so were a bunch of other levels. Do a little research, Lug, look up who the defense attorney of Pru was: Yes, John Charles Lenderman, name ring a bell? As in, John Charles Lenderman, Greer benchmate, as in husband of another Lenderman, on the board of Suncoast Hospice? This story stinks to holy high heaven!

I wonder if those five (or seven) teeth that were PULLED were the ones that should have been the BEST EVIDENCE that Terri NEVER HAD BULEMIA?

Did you even read the few words you quote? Who is defamed? Who was accused? There is no name. Nobody is accused of anything.

While we're at it, what kind of crime was it?

This, from a law definitions web site: "Defamation definition – an intentional false communication that injures another person’s good name or reputation."

I added the italics to emphasize these two tests: A) It has to be intentionally false, not just "false," which is a different argument. A view that is merely mistaken is not defamatory. Akin to the Sullivan rule, there has to be something like malice at work -- intent to falsify and harm. B) It has to cause injury. If Michael Schiavo claims to be the unnamed person in the above quotation, and sues, he still cannot point to any real injury.

The report was successfully concealed by Michael Schiavo in collusion with George Felos. Felos is no dummy, he knew what that report meant and kept it hidden.

It was revealed when Felos accidentally handed it to the Schindlers' attorney along with other papers. Either a monumental blunder by him or the hand of God working for Terri.

Several doctors here in Free Republic have looked at it as well. Terri's injuries were equal in magnitude to a severe auto wreck. Of course, she wasn't in any auto wrecks.

For future editions, you might add in that Terri has never had a heart attack. I think that rules out some of the "chemical imbalance" theories for her "collapse." But I'm not a medic, so others with expertise ought to explain that aspect.
