Dad went up on the roof two weeks ago and attempted to install a new larger Directv dish. We have been on Network tv ever since.

"Attempted?" Oh, that's mean!

Tell him I'm on his side!

Doesn't say he won't say HOW; says
he won't tell WHO will take power.
Brahimi of the U.N. announces WHO
in a week or two. We and Iraqis
have had input with Brahimi.

The writer of this WANTS you to
be disgruntled with Bush.

PLEASE no more apologies...

Exactly right. That whole apology crap really cost him more support than anything else the media/dims have thrown at him.

Actually, the state GOP convention is next month, June 5. Both are trying to get on the primary ballot in August. Both are conservative Republicans too, which makes it harder to choose.

I'll tell him you are on his side AND will be here to help next weekend ;-).

No Noggin, PBSKids, Nick, Disney etc. We are singing Veggie Tales in our sleep. The tapes are getting old fast.
(and I'm in FoxNews withdrawl)

He has to just make it conversational. I'd even say things like, "I know some of you are concerned about how things are going in Iraq and some of you have questions. I will try to speak to you tonight to those concerns and try to answer some of those questions." There is anxiety and he should show that he understands that. He can then try to lead them to his way of thinking. Churchill acknowledged anxiety about WW2 and I'm sure FDR did, too, in his Fireside Chats.

As discussed, the speech sounds defensive.

Agreed....especially this part:
.....and efforts to secure broader global support for stabilizing Iraq and building democracy there, said Duffy.

What the hell... ? Most americans (myself included) are itching to hear the nuts and bolts of how this handover will proceed. More rhetoric about democracy and freedom will not improve his poll numbers.

Mega-freakin' dittos! I can't deal with yet another "Freedom = good, evil = bad" fund raising speeches. We deserve some answers.

I hope it's not during the Laker game.(humor)

The Lakers don't play on Monday, and I don't think that American Idolatry is on Monday, either.
