NEAT! FYI, Kim.
We look forward to meeting them at the Columbia Memorial Day Parade on Monday morning, followed by lunch at the local Longhorn Steakhouse.
Thank you, military and military families, for your service and for our freedom; and thanks, Jim, for FreeRepublic.
I had a fine time today, Tom! My first official FReep was a memorable one....meeting Jim Rob and all the regular FReepers, plus the RAIN! Hope to catch more of these events. 8^)
The great weather in colorado did it again nice one minute raining cats and dogs the next. The Freepers did prevail through it all. What a great Freep the all the Freepers that showed up : ankle biter, fivetoes,Trteamer,Mollynme, cardcarrying, fire engine red,scale-justice-capitan,Robert Teesdale & son Bullet bob co.We had a great time meeting Jim & Shelia they are great people it was a honor to stand and Freep with them. I only had one idiot cuss at the president today she was a low life on a nice looking motorbike , it was a shame to ruin a good bike with trash like thatonthe back.
The lefists did look so sad having to walk by so many Freepers today it was so great to watch. When it started to rain they all looked like drowned RATS. The lunch after the Freep was great to sit and talk to Freepers that had come up for the lunch. We had not seen Beaversmom for quite awhile and man have their children grown over the year. It was great to meet some of the Freepers that we have read on posts but never seen it was great to put a face with the writing. To the great Freepers in columbia , MO we hope the weather is good for your event with Jim & Shelia FREEP ON!
Colorado Freepers Bump
Yes! Looks like you guys are winning! Let's hope Jim stays ahead of the storms on his drive.
SHEILA GOT HER FLOWERS!
Thanks Colorada freepers for remembering that!
The pictures are great, and I sure wish I could have been there! I almost stowed away in the back of the van! :-)
The time really flies when you are with like-minded folks! We had a ball today, soaking wet and all. CardCarryingMemberVastRightWC looked like he had fallen in a lake by the time he loaded all his signs! LOL! We got a little soggy, but our troops go through lots worse. It was our pleasure to be out there.
It was so nice to see my old FReeper FRiends, and to meet those who's names I recognized from past posts. FReepers are so much fun to be around, they are friendly, warm, entusiastic, and patriotic. A nice combination. The peace-niks look like an awful bunch to have as buddies, glad they are not mine. I did give them a little greeting in French as they waited for the crossing light.
Due to our long drought, being soaked by rain is kind of nice. Cold, but nice. A million dollar rain for the farmers, and a free watering of my lawn. The 45 minutes we got to FReep went way too fast, the horns were just starting to get warmed up. When fivetoes got out his bullhorn and lectured the peace-niks it was funny, they hadn't seen a bullhorn for at least a year, and looked stunned. Yes stunned, it is a universal reaction of leftists when encountering FReepers. I got some good photos and will send them along to fivetoes.
Jim, Sheila, and Chris, THANKS SO MUCH FOR COMING, you made our day! It was so nice to meet you all and FReep together. With all the young FReeepers we had at lunch, the future generations of peace-niks are going to have had hard time of it.
(fivetoes, the pictures are coming at you)
Sounds like a blast. Can't wait till our turn on Thursday.
FReegards...MUD
Thanks for giving the Robinson's a great time. We're looking forward to our turn in Houston.
You know we will be honored to have the Robinsons in Columbia and will do everything we can to make their visit enjoyable (except we expect rain Monday).
Great report. Thanks for being there for our Troops, our Country and our President.
Howdy everyone!
We had a great time FReeping in Ft Collins, rain and all! And really enjoyed meeting you all at lunch too. Colorado is great!!
We're now settled into our room at Colby, Kansas. Had to take a long detour because they closed I70 just out of Burlington due to a 14 car pileup. Don't know if it was weather related or not. It wasn't storming, but it was gusting with high winds.
Will be heading on to Columbia, Mo, in the morning.
Thank you, Colorado! We enjoyed our visit with you very much.
Solo Freeps of Leftists are fun. But sharing the fun with your fellow Freepers is much better. We had about 17 people at the "Typhoon at Toddy's" Freep, and almost 30 at the Johnson's Corner meal afterwards. At least some Freepers were out there at Toddy's from shortly after 11:00, until 12:50. The Leftists - at half their number of last week (3) lasted from 12:05 to 12:25, at which time they slouched home shortly after the rain began.
BTW - Some attending Freepers not mentioned above in Weld's post are The Shrew and his lovely wife Diva 2 (Diva Two?)
Here's what the curb looked like as we left. Just to the right of center you can see a tiny bit of it gasping for breath:
Nothing like a nice strong wind to make the flags look great:
We were waving all the time to the passersby demonstrating their support for our troops with their honks and waves and cheers. The honking just wouldn't stop! I'll bet this is really demoralizing to the Leftists.
FireEngineRed mans the SE corner:
Fivetoes gets his camcorder set up on the NE corner:
The Leftists were quiet today when we said the Pledge of Allegiance. When Duncan used to hang out with them, he would scream "Sieg Heil!" over and over, along with his best imitation Nazi salute, during the entire Pledge.
Don't feel bad if you can't make out the words on any of their signs (other than the meaningless "Women in Black" banner). None of the people driving by could make them out either.

Wow!! What a great day to be an American. You Missouri Freepers take good care of the Robinsons, now!
Below are the photos from WeldGOPhardline and FirePlugRed. I'll let them comment on them.
