Possible attempt at Spain like incident? If so likely other transportation in the cross hairs - any other sources? Anything from local radio/TV in the area? Nothing in Google news search yet

I'm betting the bomb threat will prove to be a hoax. Terrorists don't usually call ahead with warnings.

Most bomb threats are false alarms. Let's hope this one is.

Probably, (hopefully), not much to this. Terrorists don't usually foreworn.

Apparently we have some sort of bomb scare on a passenger train near D.C.

While the bomb threat may well be a hoax, it is prudent to stop and evacuate the train so that the threat can be properly evacuated. If it is a false alarm, I hope that the perpetrators of the hoax are treated just as harshly as if the bomb threat was genuine.

Was stopped and searched for two hours in Cumberland; people were loaded back on and it left, then was stopped later again and evacuated.

Someone propably thought about it and said, 'whoah, I don't want to be accused of being irresponsible if our search wasn't thorough enough or if the bomb was on a track instead of the train...' and had it stopped again just in case.
