Fox News reporting train (possibly Amtrak) being evacuated near Cumberland, MD, west of Washington, D.C.
More info coming in...bomb threat.
BOMB threat of some sort
evacuated because of bomb threat, between Mexican Farms and Cumberland
Stopped between Mexican <?> Farms and Cumberland.
now saying evacuated because of bomb threat. Hour or so west of D.C., near Mexico Farms.
I'm betting the bomb threat will prove to be a hoax. Terrorists don't usually call ahead with warnings.
Most bomb threats are false alarms. Let's hope this one is.
Is that Amtrack???
Someone set up them the bomb!
Probably, (hopefully), not much to this. Terrorists don't usually foreworn.
While the bomb threat may well be a hoax, it is prudent to stop and evacuate the train so that the threat can be properly evacuated. If it is a false alarm, I hope that the perpetrators of the hoax are treated just as harshly as if the bomb threat was genuine.
FYI.
Amtrack, stopped, searched for 2 hours, passengers reloaded, then going. After that, stopped again, and passengers evacuated. Wow
Wow.....it was searched for two hours and passengers allowed back on, it continued on.
Now it has stopped again!
Was stopped and searched for two hours in Cumberland; people were loaded back on and it left, then was stopped later again and evacuated.
*Snicker*
I think we got that fact pretty much covered.......LOL.
And nobody can question our hearing skills, can they?
Someone propably thought about it and said, 'whoah, I don't want to be accused of being irresponsible if our search wasn't thorough enough or if the bomb was on a track instead of the train...' and had it stopped again just in case.
