There are not too many businesses that can survive by insulting 1/2 of their customer base! Good riddence to the Stone-age press.

Pray for W and Saint Nancy

Sheesh even the Jamaican restaurant next to me has Fox News on all day.

Why shouldn't they?

Remember those Jamaican skits on the old African American TV show "Living Color"?

The running joke was that Jamaican immigrants,....choke.....gasp.....worked hard!

I don't agree. The Michael Moore and Babs wing of the RATS is only 20%. The other 30% are Democrats that still vote "D" because they believe that the other 20% share their views. We already know that to be false as Reagan proved in 84. These are the Joe Lieberman Democrats that believe we should be strong but also want social issues addressed.

The social services unions(police, fire, sanitation) are too liberal. But their membership doesn't necessarily vote that way. Ask a cop. He will go with Bush over Kerry anyday. Unions would either get on board or they would lose members. Ask a union member what he thinks of paying dues.

I will give you an example. I worked for a company that had a union. The cafeteria was staffed by 19 people. The company wanted to get rid of 1 person. NOt even let the person go. Just move him out of the cafeteria to the floor. The union said no and fought it. Within a couple of days, the cafeteria was replaced by vending machines and all 19 were let go. Fired.

Point is, people, while sometimes satisfied with their lives would want more than a 3% increase every couple of years. People believe in human achievement and the rewards for a job well done. They will not get it in unions or other "progressive style" employment.

I am optimistic. Look around. Conservatives are ready to go ballistic. The cauldron is boiling and starting to bubble over. Regardless of the direction come November, someone is going to blow. Rather the libs than us.

This article takes on a new meaning to me given Rush's 'Feminarchy' comments yesterday about the use of advertising dollars (controlled by Ad-Agency Libs) to advance a leftist agenda.

It can only change if the peole in power are willing to change it. 60 Senate seats and a majority Supreme Court will ensure that it does happen.

"What's with Atlanta, is it something in the water? "

No, the issue in Atlanta is that most everyone here is from somewhere else now. It's not the South anymore, it's the liberal North with a huge mix of the liberal California influence along with lots of immigrants from So. America.

What else would you get with that mix except liberals?

" The opportunity to finally recognize Reagans legacy and Bush's place for
changing American history is a mere five months away."

I'm assuming that your entire post was sarcasm, you just forgot to put the </sarcasm> tag at the end.

People are going more conservative IMO

Yep! I'm in CA and raised my kids here. My daughter now attends school in PA (Pgh). The stupidity of the liberal students drives my daughter crazy. The professors and the other students are so PC and often tell her that her conservative ideas are racist/sexist/etc. My daughter tells them "yeah, that sounds good in theory, but it's a different story if you have to live with the reality of it every day like we do in CA".

She's only 20 and she's already had enough of CA liberals....

I feel the fringe element has doomed the networks as well as CNN to a not so bright future. I hope the media types that control network news and CNN will wake up to the real issue and get rid of the fringe junk. The only way for those mentioned news agencies to survive is to get back to honest reporting without the liberal slant, and that ain't going to be easy. I predict major changes in the future.

What do you mean by "fringe junk"? Would that be news analysis?

As long as they persist in the Judy Woodruff - Larry King - Wuf Blitzer trio, they will keep sinking on their own. What CNN needs to do is fire Novak, Hunt, Shields, and all of those other wimpy people they keep foisting on potential viewers.

Don't hold your breath though since its obvious that whom ever controls the purse strings at CNN doesn't have a clue.

This is not to say that those who work for FNC don't actually believe their position - merely that the money-men behind the network don't (much).

The main money man behind Fox ( as you well know) is Rupert Murdock who is or was a Board member of the Cato Institute - known for its loathing of big government. So the orientation of Fox may not be a mere exploitation of a Niche market.

Oh no I agree with you completely. I'm glad... because I watch Fox News and I know why they watch it as opposed to CNN.

I have had to switch, too. It is convincing me that FNC isn't what it seemed to be back a number of months. It must have some fingers up to test the winds.

Fortunately I can get C-Span and although I never listen to it perhaps I need a change of heart. C-span did an outstanding job of showing that Constitution Avenue procession, too. Some of their photography was to die for.

I am jolted by how many times I had to leave FNC and go to MSNBC although "The Mouth" (Matthews) was distressing enough to drive me back to C-Span for periods. PIP came in handy and back and forth switches allowed me to monitor four channels to get what I needed to hear and to see.

For my money Murdoch is reverting to form.
