FBI urges vigilance for July 4

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A constant stream of intelligence indicating that al Qaeda wants to strike the United States this summer or fall has led federal officials to urge increased vigilance during the Independence Day weekend, but there is no specific threat of an attack timed to the holiday.

Another chance for the American muslim community to sober up, maybe? A delay in attacking?

ROFL..best laugh I have had in quite some time. Thanks SP2BF!

On a serious note, maybe they are 'spamming the boards" to hide pertinent information deeper into the archives?

OPINION:

There may be a somewhat fine legal line between general observation and surveillance of law-abiding citizens. What we are looking for are patterns of activity, unusual activity, which can be seen from public areas.

Observation of individuals of concern or suspicion is trickier. The main thing to remember is that there should be no discussions of any focus upon, or targeting of, specific individuals or groups, IMHO.

Further, such activities should remain in the personal domain of each investigator, and not an active element of the Threat Matrix or FR in general.

Posting of substantive reports should be welcome, though details regarding surveillance activities may make it seem as though this forum is facilitating wrongful activities. Which it is not doing, of course, and we want to avoid even the appearance of impropriety.

AMEN!

TO CLARIFY AGAIN WITH EMPHASIS:

Report out statistical, summarized sorts of data without any identifying info as to individuals or specific groups etc.

Specifics can go to Homeland Security when warranted. But not here.

That right, Unknowing?

I meant "Harrisburg to Pittsburgh" That's what I was thinking of originally. I got turned around backwards. Mea culpa again. I may have overestimated there, but these are "truck" miles. Not all roads are open to 53' trailers.

I'm still rolling in the floor over this camel story......

My take on the camel story...just so people know why I am screaming and have tears in my eyes over this one...

BEGIN STORY

Ali parks his camel, and someone slashes open it's flanks and takes part of the liver of the animal. (yeccchhhhh)

(is this the same as a dark ages tire slashing incident?)

Further investigation by Ali reveals Hamza did it, and he is embroiled in one fierce party

( with dancing girls, liquor, etc..what a party animal)

Ali reports this to Muhammed, who confrnts Hamza and observes Hamza is blindly drunk and has the indications of extreme alcohol intoxication. Muhammed then calls him a slave and walks off in a huff.

(problem solved?...not!)

END STORY

Imagine the sharia policeman typing this report for the investigators to file...LOL

There are an awful lot of yards everywhere. Lots of storage room. I wonder if they're being checked in Philly?

Not sure if it is related to the post StillProud and Jill saw 'bumped' on the message boards.

It caught my eye because it is a Hadith.

If it is related to the post that was bumped on the message board...then it may be significant.

Hadith's are often referenced.
