Son in Navy having difficult time with Liberals

Posted on 07/28/2004 8:36:19 PM PDT by Two-Bits

My Navy son, God Bless him, is very upset and frustrated right now. He has been in a two day conversation with a couple of liberals (yes liberals)in the Navy. There has been many heated discussions whereas one of the sailor, father of a two year old or should I say sperm donor, informed my son he would prefer his daughter have an abortion without him knowing it than for her to have one with a "Clothes hanger".

The conversation ended today with one of the liberal sailors getting into my son's face and calling him a "Pus.y". They have already taken my son's coffee cup printed with pictures of his children on it and thrown it away. I knew the Navy has been infested with liberals but I did not realize it was so bad. My Son respects and admires President Bush and is proud to serve under his command. I told him liberals did not know how to debate nor communicate their ideology. They always resort to foul language, name calling, and destroying other people property. This is how they operate.

Freepers, if you could, please drop a line and let my son know that the good fight is worth fighting for.

The majority of liberals in the military do seem to be in the Navy. That may explain why the NAVY JAG is always so busy.

I'm so sorry this is happening to your son. I pray he can keep his eye on the target and mission.

Yes, there are a few liberals in the Armed Forces. I will tell you about one.

While stationed in Alaska during the 2000 elections, a lib friend and I were talking politics. It was the day of the election. He was from Miami and voting absentee.

The next week or so he was ticked off. I asked him what was up. He was angry that the Gore campaign was suing to have the military absentee ballots discounted.

He was very angry with Gore and worried his vote (for Gore) would be tossed.

We never talked politics again. I think he had a change of heart.

Like this is news. Your son should have joined the Marines if he was going to go in the service.

He is so frustrated right now. He has been in the Navy seven years. He also made Sailor of the year. As much as he admires President Bush, he is thinking seriously of not relisting at the end of this enlistment. I can not blame him.

My brother-in-law is a Navy seal. We have no idea where he is, but I do know that he is no liberal. Your son must have some around him who share his good values. Hopefully, he will find them and be strengthened in his resolve.

I am proud of your son for fighting two battles -- the battle against terrorism, which is real, solid and threatens our nation; and the battle against sordid, liberal thought.

When I look at my children, and watch them play in peace, riding their bikes to the tennis courts, laughing and playing in the pool with their dad, reading on a warm summer night, I thank God for people like your son who secure the peace of my little ones.

There may be liberal sailors who would rather see their grandbabies torn apart in the womb, victims of evil thinking, cowards at heart, who will not face the shame or inconvenience of a demanding new life. But there are people like your son, who lay everything on the line and prove in word and deed that virtue is stronger. They keep the encroaching terror, on both fronts, from eating away at my family, at least for now.

God bless your son. Some of us are thankful for his strength in facing enemies within and without.

He also made Sailor of the year.

Could this be the reason why they are going after him--jealousy perhaps?

Two-Bits, my son just signed up for the navy on the Delayed Entry Program. He will be going to RTC (?) in January. It really bothers me to hear this. My son is extremely conservative. In fact, in a few days, he will be volunteering at one of President Bushes campaign stops on Saturday. I had assumed that most of the military was solidly behind the President. It makes me sick to think that there is even a *remote* chance that they could be serving under Kerry as Commander-in-chief!

It disgusts me that your son has to put up with this garbage! What a couple of creeps these guys must be!!

God bless your son, and thank him for his service. What ship is he on?

I have a friend on my local city council who has a son that graduated from Vanderbilt a couple of years ago. A few months later he entered the Navy (ATTY General John Ashcroft's son was his room mate at OCS). He is now an Ensign on the Kitty Hawk and just told his parents that when his term is up, he is joining the Marines, "where at least they still have some discipline".

Thank your son for his service.

The only answer to a liberal who wants to kill babies is to tell them it is their right as guaranteed by the 5 Supreme Court justices, but they are still killing babies. Sure, they can pretend they are not and spin the words anyway they like, but they are killing another human for their convenience.

It is legal for them to do so but they can't pretend it's just like clipping your finger nails.

The words you choose to pretend it's not true are not important. They will know it for the rest of their lives. In an argument, you won't be able to convince them.

Don't worry though, that won't be the worst of it. When we convince ourselves that we can kill another human for our convenience, Grandma is not far away from getting the nudge. Hey, she lived a long life and she wants us to have our inheritence.

Next, you know those Jews and Black people, well what have they really done for us lately? You know our health care dollars would go further if we didn't have to spend all that money on homosexuals.

Once you decide life is sort of optional, well, it gets lots easier.

Pardon my digression into the right wing extreme.

What I meant to say was just don't seed the ground that they are not killing babies. As long as we agree that it's your right to kill babies and we are okay with that, the argument is done. One day, they will understand.

Ma'am, I don't really know his situation or much about your son, so my advice may be kind of general.
When he 'debates' with them, do it plain and with factual info. Don't be distracted when they try to change the talking-points and don't allow them to change definitions to suit their argument.
Be polite, be firm and have the facts to back you up.
Make buddies with an old salt who also is a conservative. They are there and all it takes is for him to find one or two as an ally.
If he's in the Navy, there are probably some 'Jars (Marines) around. They tend to be more 'conservative' and might be able to 'watch his back' or just establish it that he's someone they agree with. Intimidation is very effective on people of this ilk.

Now being as I am talking to such a dear Lady who has expressed concern for her son, please note that at no time did I make the suggestion that as a final option he should consider 2 rolls of quarters in a sock.
No Ma'am, I never said anything at all like that.
God Bless you and your Son.
