I felt I should briefly say something to those interested in the schedule for the release of Volume V of the Dragon's Fury Sereis of novels since the date has slipped a couple of times from an orignal expectation of late June.
I lost my father on January 25th to heart disease, and then lost one of my brothers on July 3rd to cancer...he was 49 years old. We are grateful that they both have returned home and are with their Savior and with other loved ones who have passed on before...we are grateful that their suffering is now over...but we also miss them.
Understandably, time spent with them before they died, in making preparations for their funerals, and in taking care of their affairs have come between me and my original schedule for the last volume of the Dragon's Fury Series. I hope everyone will understand. I thank all for their patronage, interest and support of the work...and for their prayers. More than anything else, this series is about America and her great strengths, even in the midst of terrible hardship.
I know readers will enjoy Volume V. I plan for a late August or perhaps early September release now. I have about 150 pages to go as of this date.

All the best to you and your family as this outstanding series comes to a conclusion. Still hoping a major publisher will see the value in your work and distribute this series on a massive level.

I am sure everyone will enjoy Volume V. There are many surprises...the horror of war continues right up to the last...and right and freedom prevail, albeit at horrendous cost.
But this is true in life and something we can never forget. Our liberties and way of life have been, and always will be, purchased with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Will the USS Barney be making it's return?
Yes, the USS Barney will be making a return albeit as a new class of CGN. Can't give any more detail than that, but it will figure in significantly to the story line.
I have always felt that if I can be half the man my Dad was, and raise my sons to be twice the man I am...then I will have done very well indeed in serving my family, my community, my country, and my God.

I've wanted to write and let you know that, having read Vols I & II (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1164295/posts), I took a step back and recently started on Vol III. I noticed the statement in the beginning of the book about your intent that, while it was an integral part of a series, you wanted it to also be able to stand alone. I just wanted to let you know that it took three lines - lines! - of the book to draw me back into the story and by page six, I had a tear in my eye. It works as both, my friend. I assure you.
Now, let me just settle back...
