Even in Ga. real bbq is sliced never chopped.
Try Harold's , it's down by the Federal prison past grant park.

Nairobi Country Club, Midland, Texas. The ribs and the secret dipping sauce are to die for.

wanna' piece of this action?

I can't remember the name, but there was a FANTASTIC BBQ place on the west-side of Norman OK...
It was in an old, converted gasoline station structure.
Maybe this was on Porter? just a few blocks of downtown?

I don't know if they owned it, but a couple of senior-citizen ladies took orders and
delivered orders to the customer.
Including soft drinks (Coca-Cola) in the REAL-DEAL glass botles!

Going back a few years...and being an equal time guy for the Sooner and OSU Cowboys...
I will give a high, honorable mention to "Latigos" on the east side of Stillwater, OK.
I only visited twice, but they served some great BBQ.

I'll second the Rendesvouz!
Best ribs overall.

Is Corkys the place that provides airline meals for Northwest Flights that go through Memphis? If so, it was by far the best Airline food I've ever tasted and great barbecue on it's own.

Dreamland on Jug Factory Road in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Aside from perhaps a bag of chips and beverages, there are two things served there. Ribs and white bread.

Their sauce is similar to most in the deep south, except with a little more kick and not gloppy like ketchup. The best I've ever had.

Above the door as you walk in there's a neon sign that says: NO FARTING.

Anyone with entries in a state other than NC don't friggin' know what they're talkin 'bout. BBQ's so serious here you can always catch "The History of BBQ" (90 minutes) on PBS every other week.

BTY, it's Stamey's in Greensboro. The one next to the coliseum...

Dreamland, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Course, I am a northern girl who visited the south one time (wish it could be more!) and have to be satisfied with Carson's BBQ in Chicago.

I have to add my Favorite in CA and Florida.

Moorpark CA. The Barbecue Joint on High Street. It is southern style and if you live anywhere in driving distance, it is unlike any CA BBQ that I have had. Southern style BBQ is where it's at, and this is it for my area.
