LIVE THREAD! President and Laura Bush: Larry King Live 8/12
8/12/04

Posted on 08/12/2004 5:35:48 PM PDT by Timeout

George and Laura Bush to be on with Larry King for the full hour tonight. I don't usually watch LKL because of his lame questions. But it should be interesting.

He just called her "Laura" - how disrespectful.

That's mild in comparison to the ABC newscaster who referred to President Bush and "Candidate" Bush and "Senator" Kerry. It was on radio so I never did catch the moron's name.

LOL! After dealing with a DNC plant on and off today and getting pretty mean, I'm not sure that's justified. Hah!

King reminds me of a reptilian creature, with suspender retainers, in a lavender shirt. He's a liberal-demokkkRAT puke, looking for a heart attack.

He should not have to be defending his actions in that classroom. It's just ridiculous!

Oh Geez, here is the 7 minutes after the attack message from Card.

He made the decision to let the program finish and thank the children and teacher.

It's important to figure out we were at war and that we were at war with al quada. What is relevand is what I understand as the stakes of going to war.

LK: Why did he sit for 7 minutes at the school on 9/11.

President: I'd just been told the country was under attack and I was gathering my thoughts. I thought I'd let the program finish and then take care of business.

What's important is how I reacted after the attack.

LK asks about the "7 minutes" and GWB answers he took a few minutes to collect his thoughts.

He thinks it's easy to second guess a response (LK asked "so criticism is unwarranted?")

Why did King not raise crap about the people attacking Bush's military service?!

Kink belongs in a home.

Now he is talking about the President in the class room on 9/11.

HEY LARRY....KERRY SAID HE and fellow dems JUST SAT AROUND AND COULD NOT THINK FOR 40 MINUTES....SO ARE YOU GOING TO CONFRONT KERRY

I see Larry had the DNC prepare his questions. What a jerk, now asking about the 7 minutes with the kids in Florida.

"He also said it was fair to look at Kerry's record!"

I interpreted it slightly differently. I thought he meant this is a positive way. As in: Yes, it is fair for Kerry to tout his record. Kerry should be very proud of it.

I thought it was extremely graceful and reminded me exactly why I like this man.

Oh good grief. Now we're back to the 7 minutes in the classroom on 9-11.

Pres says it's important how he reacted when he realized we were attacked. Brought the killers to justice.

Oh Criminey King, give it up!! "Wasn't that a hard moment in your life..." blech!

I've met the First Lady during the 2000 election cycle and she is as gentle a woman as I've ever met.

BUT, I'm pleased tonight to see her shooting daggers at LK!

Larry asking him to explain the first 7 minutes after hearing the plane hit the first tower. Wish he'd compare it to how Kerry spent his 45 minutes after the first plane hit.

(LK asked "so criticism is unwarranted?")

*Rolling my eyes*

Did he think Bush was going to say yes, it was warranted?

And hannity's been bragging on getting Bill Maher on his show tonite.

Nothing on earth could get me to watch that creep.

President: We have already implement a lot of the recommendations in the 9/11 Commission Report.

Good one!

I met both she and (THEN) Gov. Bush at the State Capt. several years ago. She is as stunning in person.
