The Breck Girl was born in Seneca, South Carolina, in the Upstate kind of near Greenville. He's lived far longer in North Carolina than South Carolina, however, and really only calls himself a South Carolinian when it's convenient--either when he's actually in SC, or when he needs to trot out his "I'm just a linthead mill-town kid made good, so I feel your pain when George Bush personally outsources all your jobs" shtick.

I've only lived here seven years and *I'm* more of a South Carolinian than Edwards is. Heck, he probably doesn't even know what the state bird is (answer: the palmetto bug :p).

This is too rich. My wife just called the EMTs. She thought I was going nuts. You guys just have to stop posting these things this late at night. This is the sort of thing that will cause me to wake up laughing in the easly morning hours.

He showed up two hours late and expected everybody to wait for him - what a Rock Star mentality! Oh, wait a minute - that's a different thread ...

My battalion commander used to do that crap in the Army. It kinda pisses people off, ya know. lol

and really only calls himself a South Carolinian when it's convenient--

At least he mentions SC; he never even talks about NC.

AP report?--

"Neither sweltering heat nor a slight delay could dampen the enthusiasm as cheering throngs welcomed their favorite son."

"Relentlessy pounding his Republican opponents, Edwards reflected the gathering momentum across the country for a Kerry-Edwards victory in November."

What election? Who needs voters when the demonrats can just invent them and stuff ballot boxes? The fraud is going to be rampant this election, we should be demanding national election standards for national elections.

If some flea bitten state wants to let just anyone vote as many times as they want in state elections that's up to the people of that state to deal with. National elections are far too important for those kinds of slip shod standards.

I went to a Cheney Rally a couple of weeks ago, He was right on time and I got great pic's of the plane rolling up the tarmak. The Rally was orderly and fun and the VP gave a wonderful speech!

Half the audience who showed up last week to see John Edwards' first South Carolina appearance since he won his home state's primary in February walked out before he arrived - two hours late.

Both of the Dim candidates seem to be chronically late for their campaign engagements, as well as their surrogates (the Kerry girls). Interesting indeed was the reaction in MN where the Bush twins were on time, and they were appreciated for that.

Do the Dims purposely try to confuse things?

JFK/JF'nK
Kerry/Kerrey
NC/SC

Sometimes it even confuses themselves, like when Kerry mixes up his Senate career with Kerrey's...

...or when 100 year old bolt-action Russian rifles are confused with Chinese "assault" rifles.

Johnny Reed sure has a way with those crowds .. hehehehe

This one is my Favorite !

Senator who? We're trying to bowl here!!

(SNIP)

Every second, more people were cramming themselves into the already-jammed bowling alley, and the hostility between the bowlers and nonbowlers, especially the media, was getting intense. Bowlers and photographers were elbowing each other. A woman was shouting, ''WE'RE TRYING TO BOWL HERE!!'' A man brandishing a bowling ball was yelling at a TV cameraman: ''GET YOUR (very bad word) DIRTY SHOES OFF THE (even worse word) LANE!!'' A management person on the public-address system was announcing that the police and fire marshal had been called, and that the building had to be evacuated.

Great report.

Sounds like they had the union thugs locked up so they couldn't leave until the doors were opened.

"The hall was about half-full by the time Edwards arrived," the State reported.

Don't think of it as "half-full." Think of it as "half-empty."
