The democrats will pull out all the stops to block those nominations from coming to a vote. If they had to, they would let the entire federal bench become vacant just to block those nominations.

They'll try. That's when we pull out the nuclear option. If they really mess things up, we'll end up with 60 Senate seats in 2006.

Dems get ugly when they eat their own.

It isn't about the war, or the environment, or any of the other trumped up causes that they voice.

What the Left hates is that the majority of Americans think that Bush and the Republicans are right about socialism: It doesn't work. Socialism is their religion. They hate that they are losing ground. They have been telling themselves that they are slowly winning the battle.

Then they were faced with: Reagan, the fall of the Iron Curtain and collapse of the Evil Empire, the embarrassing Clinton years, the loss of control of Congress, and then the victory of Bush over Gore. They have to face the facts. For the last 20+ years, they have been losing ground.

They keep telling themselves that if they can just make people see the truth of socialism, that they will surely become believers. And the way you do that is to force people to live in socialism. (And you have to forget about God. The only God is the State. Another reason that they hate Bush.)

If they ever get control again, they will do whatever they have to do to maintain control, including killing anyone who opposes them. George Orwell understood the mentality. He may not have seen the link with socialism, but he understood the mentality that thinks that it is OK to use force to make others conform to your ideals. They will make socialism work, for the good of society, if they have to kill everyone to do it.

The only antidote to this atheistic materialism is God's love, and our love toward God in return.

these are the people i call the ugly americans.
pent up hate oozing from every pore in their sick demented bodies, spoilt rotten children, nasty evil little temper tantrums, twisted logic all of this will warp the soul untill its not human any longer but something straight from the bowels of hell.
thrusting their vileness upon decent people becoming more enraged when good folks cringe in revulsion at what they have become.these are ugly americans.
we look away whilst they flaunt their ugliness with haughty pride and arrogant eyes.
what we call good they despise, what we call right they scream its wrong, yes these are ugly americans and they live amongst us hating us and what we value and cherish and love.these things are putrid to them in thier perversity.ugly americans for all the world to see, they are naked and do not know or understand the futility that they practice.woe to the ugly american your time is short and the fall will be long.

Aging hippies, like Dan Rather and John Kerry, evidently have not had a new idea since the 1960's. Their brains have been permanently frozen at that point of time.

Naw they all just have their very own way back machines!

He who blasphemes God, or Jesus will be forgiven, but he who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this world or the next for it is an eternally unforgivable sin.

The trinity IS God

I'll bite.

Sixties radical revivalism has been aching to assert itself since.... the sixties. Those of us who lived them remember that even while the so-called watershed events were happening, they were already sad and pathetic attempts at social relevancy.

My family watched the burning of the Bank of America at Isla Vista, and the media was already firmly entrenched on the war protester/hippie side. I grew up with , and hung out with, hippies and malcontents, and they were NOT ROMANTIC, they were paranoid drug abusers with a shaky grasp on reality.

The women were weepy, dreamy, depressed, paranoid and too skinny. The men were stoned, horny, phony, shallow males who would walk two miles for some pot, but wouldn't lift a finger to save a "chick" from rape.

Fools like Rather and Cronkite breathlessly told the tales of brave young college students protesting an unjust war...

it was infuriating.

Even then the propaganda juggernaut was in full gear. The big media told us how cool it all was, Woodstock and San Francisco and acid and communes and grow all the hair you can, man. The nation stank.

The whole thing was an embarrassment, but the important practitioners controlled the dialog, and they wanted those wild young chicks more than credibility, so America paid a heavy price for its complacency.

The radical babyboomers partied til they puked and mugged for the cameras, and the rest of their generation mopped up the vomit and cleaned the dishes. The majority never got on TV , they went to work and joined the middleclass.

The radicals hogged all the media attention, they betrayed our own military, they refused to face their own drug burnout problem, they made really lousy parents.

Kerry represents them PERFECTLY.

The left has taken her grief, and used it to poison her against the few men in the world who is taking on the greatest evil of our time.

Her anger should be directed to those who her son died fighting to protect us from, and the evil, dark blood cult disguized as a religion, which is used to brainwash those into believing that their 'god'(Satan)want's us either dead or to bow to him, and call him "god".

Satan's "bible" is the koran. The left can't see this for some reason, perhaps because they have renounced Christ themselves.

That anyone is allowed to do something to packed audiences advocating killing our President and get away with shows me who is really in control in this country now.

Regardless of the final tally, if-- no, WHEN bush wins, the left will find something to cry about. If it's a narrow vicory or one with a wide margin they will claim it was done by vote fraud of some sort. Considering the anger shown after Gore bit the dust, I expect it'll be much worse this time. I've read posts from people who are preparing for possible armed insurrection and/or rioting. Some are stockpiling arms and ammo both at home and at their places of work. Others are quickly applying for concealed carry permits. Whether any of this comes to pass or not, the fact that society has become so polarized these subjects are even discussed is a sign of bad things to come.

Add Michael Moore to the list and these folks have done more damage to the Democrats than the GOP ever could. Now the inmates are running the asylum.

Thank you for your excellent post. You've perfectly captured those years. It took years for me to grasp how reckless we really were - and how utterly selfish.
