Yep. They don't take being the minority party very well. They'd better get used to it.

I agree, this is about good vs. evil. Unfortunately, evil is a word that the left laughs at, as Reagan once noted. The left believes in "moral relativism". The left says "there is no evil, only varying shades of gray".

When I hear that Bush statement, "this is about good vs evil" even though he is talking about the war I feel he is talking about the democrats as well.

Good post.

If they hate Bush so much I guess that's at least one good reason to vote for him.

Probably the best reason to vote for him.

"They think that if they get the draft reinstated, young people will go back to joining the Democratic party, instead of the GOP."

It's like the middle-aged radicals who now own the democratic party can't think outside the 60s box. Most of America has moved on from all that. They haven't. They long to see young people burning draft cards, burning bras, burning the flag, burning George Bush in effigy, if not in the flesh. David Horowitz was not exaggerating when he called them the "destructive generation." McAuliffe's heated rhetoric is often indistinguishable from boastful threats of a drunken 16-year-old.

He who blasphemes God, or Jesus will be forgiven, but he who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this world or the next for it is an eternally unforgivable sin.

I saw this creature on the news and immediately lost any respect or pity for her for losing her son. She is a sub-human animal.

Cut her a little slack. Take all that revulsion you feel (an absolutely justified revulsion by the way and please don't interpret this as a knock on your post) and direct it towards the worm that would seek to exploit that very natural grief for his own political gain. There is absolutely no war in history, for any reason, no matter what the basis for war was, that you could not find, if you wanted to, a grieving mother to criticize the sitting president. It is natural for a mother to grieve. No matter how right the cause, she is going to feel a hatred for the President. Not in every case, of course, but in more than a few. This ad will backfire in a big way.

"...he'll probably get to fill at least 2 seats on the Supreme Court."

The democrats will pull out all the stops to block those nominations from coming to a vote. If they had to, they would let the entire federal bench become vacant just to block those nominations.

Ah but methinks we dodged a bullet. Like in 1968 the Dems nominated a candidate that these freaks cannot get their arms around. The best thing the Dems did was jettison Howard Dean during the primary. Match these left wing loonies with a candidate that stirs them and we got real trouble. The gnashing of teeth in November will be loud when Kerry loses but not as loud as if they had a "Messiah" lose.

She, however, has gone way, way, way overboard. She not only wanted to kill the president slowly, painfully, but she announced it to the entire nation and around the world. She used her own son's death for political reasons. That makes her SKUM.....I don't care what you think of her.

Aging hippies can feel young again.

These people are getting ready to die, and they know it. They can't hide it much longer, all the creams and exercise and "whole foods" won't make it go away. Most of them have lived lives that are immoral, irresponsible, and decadent, you know, drugs sex and rock and roll, and they quite frankly fear what will come. They are angry and they are fighting desperately to bring back the days of their youth.

Like cornered animals, they are dangerous.

I can concede a little to your case. I was not aware that she was the one who wanted to harm the president. I was just thinking of the ad and the thought of a mother in grief. I still, however must hold a little to my position that grief can lead a person to do some very irrational things, and still think that the worst scum is the people who are willing to give her a platform from which to spout her hate.

It is amazing, isn't it?

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but the MSM is the top culprit, followed closely by many teachers and college professors. I have no doubts that if the media was "fair and balanced" we wouldn't lose an election; common sense would prevail. It's been a few years since I was in college, but I shudder when I think of the garbage I used to hear from liberal instructors...anybody remember the term "Ray-Guns" back in the '80s?

We have to fight the stereotypes thrown on conservatives and we don't need to give the left any ammunition with our own words and actions. I checked out the DU site earlier today...they live up to their stereotypes.

If we can win just a few more battles in the media and the entertainment world, more young people might think it's "cool" to be conservative. The left fear this might happen; that's why they protect their turf so viciously.

VDH Rules.

The loonies are lost forever, except for a few, like David Horowitz (wish he was required reading for high school kids).

What we need is a decisive victory for W...not just a point or two, so the media and the Dems can talk about the "evenly divided country."

Our young people can still be influenced...they'll grow up under a conservative president and a mostly-Republican government. Maybe a few more musicians and movie stars will admit to being conservative. Maybe there will be a few more conservative viewpoints presented in the mainstream media, if the rating make the difference.

It's possible the "radical right" can be replaced by the "radical left" outside of forums like this one.
