What on earth is he thinking? Is he trying to make sure Kerry gets elected? This will tick off most conservatives I know, and provide wonderful ammunition for the Dark Side. (Or is that the dork side?)

It's true that few if any of us will change our votes because of this (who would we vote for, the poodle??), but the kind of active support he's going to need to get elected will be dampened by quite a lot. Suppressing this legislation is pure madness.
