The President campaigned in Pennsylvania and Michigan today.
The White House provided this Link to the President's achievements, stating that Bush's "first term has been among the most consequential and successful in modern times."
The Cheneys campaigned in Tallahassee.
There are some late photos from yesterday of Laura Bush campaigning in Reno and Milwaukee.
I must comment on the fact that Yahoo is posting hideous photos of the Bushes and Cheneys on their web site, the more so as November 2 draws near.
QUOTE: Commending the US House of Representatives for rejecting the bill sponsored by Democrat Charles Rangle, called "Reinstate the Draft", President Bush said, "If this bill were presented to me, I would veto it. America's all-volunteer military is the best in the world, and reinstating the draft would be bad policy."
Democrat Congressman Charles Rangel (D-NY) Introduced The "Universal National Service Act Of 2003" To Reinstate Military Draft. "A BILL To provide for the common defense by requiring that all young persons in the United States, including women, perform a period of military service or a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes." (H.R. 163, Introduced 1/7/03 By Rep. Charles Rangel)
Enjoy your daily Dose of W @ Sanity Island!
*** I like the fact that he can make fun of himself and it comes off so well***
Wasn't that the greatest comment!?!? I LOLOL'd!
Hi Mystery--
How's the back?
Hi Kitty!
Yes, wonderful Dose. Did you see the speech this morning?
Ee-gads! Must remember to be more diligent with my previews. And that was before the 5 o'clock martini, too!
Getting better...I can now pick up items that I drop...that's a big improvement...LOL
Thank you so very much for these beautiful photos. They are very up lifting. I've enjoyed seeing them.
All photos, thumbs up. Special Hooah to our brave warriors watching the Veep in Sadr City. God bless them and keep them safe until they come home again to the good ole USA.
Glad it's getting better . . . remember, no horsie rides!
I agree 100 percent! That's the nicest photo I've seen of the Cheneys.
Gives me the impression they spend a lot of time building each other up, being supportive with their whole hearts, and are reaping the joy of investing their lives in each other's well-being.
Yes, special Hooah! to our troops. God bless them and keep them every day till they come home.
Is there a special story to your screen name? I can't figure it out!
You're very welcome. There are some beauties today, eh?
GREAT pic titles!
Okay, we all know that VPOTUS AND POTUS are exceptionally handsome. end of story.. here is another gent that I have seen at several events the past year that I find very attractive ( more so in person than these pix)
The secret service agent in bottom pix just behind POTUS and in top one - same man - behind the president's left arm. He is about the same height, very well built & when cracks a bit of a smile, can melt you. Forget that he is prolly my son's age !!!
I missed the fact that you hurt your back, but I'm glad to hear it's getting better.
I was noticing that SS guy the last few days, too! I guess great minds think alike. :-)
What a stressful job they must have. And they obviously take it very seriously.
Seems to me he's the most handsome president ever to serve in that office.
Hi homemom! How are you?
When the wives entered the stage after the debate last night, Lynn Cheney looked at the V.P. with an expression of sympathy that would melt your heart, BUT she then lit up into a big smile of love and joy for him. It was one of those moments that two married people can share only if they have shared their love for years. It was beautiful.
