O"Reilly Wants President Bush to Apologize Friday Night
Me

Posted on 10/07/2004 10:41:05 AM PDT by JonDavid

Bill O'Reilly suggested today on his radio show that President Bush should apologize at the Presidential debate Friday for no Iraq WMD. If the President Bush did this in the way that O'Reilly wants him to, the President would be making a major gaffe. I could see the sound bites. President Bush has NOTHING TO APOLOGIZE FOR. Also, O'Reilly says that Bush has to clearly win Friday or it’s over. He keeps on saying that the race is tied. IMHO, O'Reilly is spinning on several fronts: At the very least he is trying to get Kerry on his show, so he is pandering. The Electoral College Polls shows the President with a sizable lead. National Polls mean little. O'Reilly knows if the President says I am sorry for Iraq it would be political suicide. Again, think of the soundbite the Democrats would have. This would help Kerry. The President on Friday night needs to address Kerry’s record and recent Global Test statements. So why O’Reilly on his radio program the day before the Presidential debates is highlighting the Iraq WMD instead of focusing on Kerry’s record? He is doing this because that’s the only hope Kerry has. If O’Reilly was really a no spinner and WAS LOOKING OUT FOR YOU he would have STRESSED SUBSTANCE OVER STYLE and endorsed President Bush after Kerry’s Global Test and other policy statements after the last debate. So deep down, O'Reilly is rooting for Kerry. The latest Iraq WMD report clearly shows t that Saddam’s endgame was to get the Sanctions lifted and then restart his WMD programs. According to the report, SADDAM WANTED NUCLEAR WEAPONS!! It’s the intent. That’s why Saddam had to be removed form power. I also, believe that the WMD were moved into other countries, like Syria.

O'Reilly is just doing his part to make ABC, CBC, NBC, CNN, and FOX, more money. He is main stream media.

O'Reilly on the MSM. They out to just put up the Bush-Evil, Kerry-Good photos and be done with it so we will know what they are talking about.

I think Bill O. has an arrogance problem. Why he would make such a suggestion is beyond me. Bill should start taking his own advice in some regards. I can understand his passion about how that debate went, that Bush had a great opportunity to clobber Kerry and did not --- but, he should not come back with tripe like "apologizing" for his performance. That is food for the libs.

Sorry Bill -- you get a demerit for this one. You should have just left it alone.

Yep....and he's losing his audience by pandering to the likes of sKerry. Oreilly probably believes that he is irreplaceable.....but that just isn't so.

The proof is in Libya, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and soon Syria and Lebanon.

Yup. These guys will never be our friends, but they know if they allow another major attack planned on their soil, we are coming to get them.

Yeah. And I want Bill O'Reilly to apologize for wasting our time with his self-injected importance. What an arrogant, self-promoting, shallow man. Go away, you gnat on a Rhino's butt.

He would be just perfect for Entertainment Tonight. He could interview himself.

This whole "apology" thing gets to the very core of touchy-feely liberalism.

This eliminates all doubt about Bill's politics. Anybody that would demand an "apology" is a nothing but a touchy-feely liberal -- plain and simple.

IF the election is lost, it won't be the lack of apologies. The Republicans have for many years been cowed by the democrats' fierce attacks and have been afraid to call them out for what they are. Kerry represents a takeover by the extreme anti-war, anti-defense left, he is a liar of the worst order. But who gets called a liar in this campaign? The President, an honorable man.

Why did this repetitive Duelfer Report come out weeks before the election? Why have republicans continued to play "good guy" while the left smashes all our institutions and endangers our society?

Bill O'Reilly can shove it. The election isn't about George Bush, it's about OUR safety, and we will not be safe with Kerry, Kennedy, Biden, Carville, etc. in the White House. But in the end it is the defensiveness of our defenders that is killing us. The debate should be Iran andd Syria, not Iraq, and the last time I looked the GOP is trying not to "scare" people by saying we'll use diplomacy in Iran. Kerry's offer of nuclear fuel to Iran, for God's sake, has gone unanswered. The Silence of the Lambs, indeed.

apologies?

Can O'Reilly guarantee that there are no WMD's in Iraq now nor were there ever any WMD's in Iraq since 2001?

No?

Well then the only apology I want to hear about from O'Reilly is an apology for not enlisting in the armed services during the Viet Nam war!

Any questions?
I thought not...

Bill O'Reilly has lost it. He has fallen in love with himself to the extent that he cannot pay attention to the real world. I've reached the point of turning Fox off when he comes on. And the same goes for Greta Sustren. I have better things to do with my time than watch drivel.

Kerry and O'Reilly are the best of friends. There was never any doubt that Kerry would appear on his show. The two of them are in bed together.

This WMD talk is starting to fry me! What part of the Bush Doctrine do these people not understand?? "We will make no distinction between the terrorists and THOSE WHO HARBOR THEM"!!

Some people claim that we have found no concrete links between Sept. 11th and Saddam, but they did harbor terrorists, they did financially support terrorists, and they did train terrorists. We needed no other rationale for taking his regime down, that was what we used for Afghanistan. The Taliban harbored terrorists, financially supported them, and helped train them. Therefore, that regime was removed. Saddam did the same, so we needed to remove his regime also. The fact that he committed genocide against his own people, etc. was just further justification.

The fact that Saddam didn't YET have a nuclear weapon was the reason we COULD take him down. If we waited until he had nukes, the military option would have been MUCH harder. All this WMD talk is just bogus. (also, Democrats like to conveniently forget that chemical and biologial agents, LIKE THE ONES HE USED AGAINST HIS OWN PEOPLE are also WMDs)
