Shameless! Kerry lied about his own mother

Posted on 10/15/2004 9:58:33 AM PDT by tdadams

Shameless! John Kerry lied about his own mother.

In the third debate, John Kerry spoke of his mother's final moments and her words to him:

"Can I say, if I could just say a word about a woman that you didn't ask about, but my mom passed away a couple years ago, just before I was deciding to run. And she was in the hospital, and I went in to talk to her and tell her what I was thinking of doing.

And she looked at me from her hospital bed and she just looked at me and she said, Remember: integrity, integrity, integrity. Those are the three words that she left me with."

John Kerry painted a story of sitting at his mother's bedside as she lay dying in the hospital, reiterating that point twice. However, according to Mrs. Forbes' obituary, she died at home.

John Kerry will lie about his own mother to win this election. How shameless can a man be?

Let's not become what we despise. He said he visited her at her hospital bed. Could have been at home or before she died. This would be lower than the Mary Cheney debacle if we pursue it. I know Kerry lies, all politicians do at one time or another. If he lied about this, he'll have to live with it. We're better than they are. Let's show that we have the class act in this campaign and forget this topic.

I thought when he said it, "That sounds for all the world like a Little Dickie Gephardt fairytale".

I figure it probably went like this:
Mrs. Kerry: Johnny better call the doctor.
John Kerry: Yes mom. Where's his number?
Mrs. Kerry: I don't remember...
John Kerry: Thats okay. I look it up in the phone book. (From the other room) Mom, what's his name?
Mrs. Kerry: Dr. Tehgritee
John Kerry(Still in the other room): What did you say?
Mrs. Kerry: Dr. Ian Tehgritee
John Kerry(Yelling from the other room): What did you say?
Mrs. Kerry: Ian Tehgritee
John Kerry: What?
Mrs. Kerry: Ian Tehgritee

"The real point is: When the hell has he EVER shown integrity?"

Maybe this is precisely why his mother reminded Kerry about 'integrity' and impressed it upon him three times. She knew the man didn't have any.

Kerry will come back an tell us that his story is being taken out of context. What an ego, he thinks he's another Bill Clinton.

We can often do more for other men by trying to correct our own faults than by trying to correct theirs.

My mother lives at home but is in a "hospital bed". It was perscribed by her doctors to allow her to have her head elevated so that she could breathe easier.

Personally, I wouldn't believe a word that Kerry said. He has demonstrated that he'll do or say anything to get elected. He knows the news media will not hold him to any ethical standards. Just as his comment about Reeve who was already in a comma when Kerry claims to have received a message from him. Where was the media ridicule? Not to be found?

He doesn't actually say that the words were spoken in her final illness. He says that she died. He says that she spoke these words to him at the hospital.

I don't believe a single word out of Kerry's mouth. I just happen to believe that his dead mother is off limits.

He said he visited her at her hospital bed. Could have been at home or before she died.

Actually, his exact words were, "And she was in the hospital".

Kerry's Mother and Her Odd Final Words
Mike Thompson
Friday, Oct. 15, 2004
Asked by third presidential debate moderator Bob Shieffer to describe the influence of his wife and two daughters on his life, Democrat John Forbes Kerry responded:

"... if I could just say a word about a woman that you didn't ask about, but my mom passed away a couple of years ago, just before I was deciding to run. And she was in the hospital, and I went in to talk to her and tell her what I was thinking of doing. And she looked at me from her hospital bed and she just looked at me and she said, 'Remember: integrity, integrity, integrity.' Those are the three words that she left me with."
My mother died 25 years ago, when I also was a mature man, albeit only 39.
It was just after 3 a.m. when I arrived at her home, urgently called there in the middle of a rainy Miami night by her live-in, full-time nurse. Mama was sitting on the edge of her death-bed, grasping at the last thread of life that cancer had left in her riddled body, her palms-down hands braced on the mattress and her feet dangling limply to the floor.
I sat down next to her, wrapped my arms around her waist, and began kissing her sweaty head, now cradled on my right shoulder. A glib young man with a quip for any occasion, I was speechless - mute testimony to the precipitous loss of my mother that was unfolding rapidly.
Marshaling just enough strength to speak, she whispered to me, "Michael, I love you so much," then died.
In listening to Senator Kerry as he recalled his mother's final words, I was shocked by their oddity, and also burdened with this profoundly frightening question:
Why would any mother use her last breath to lecture her 58-year-old son to be honest?

It's shamefull this is a race.

Careful, how would you like it if we went around calling Paul Martin a "Yankee." Hoser is not an epithet to be tossed around lightly. It must be earned. Incidently Hosers are not liberals.

My grandfather died recently, he was in the hospital for a few weeks, when they knew it was inevitable they sent him home on hospice care with drugs for pain and he passed away peacefully at home a few days later.

Basically, I am all for smearing this piece of trash Kerry whenever possible, but this angle I find to be in poor taste.

Does John Kerry lick his lips right before he lies, right after he lies, or in the middle of a lie?

"I agree this is one that should be left alone. For all we know, she did say in a hospital and slipped into a coma later dying at home."

Anything is possible, but it's a very unlikey scenario. You're lying in a hospital bed, they know you're dying, your son comes to be with you and he hears your last words to him. In this scenario you remain in the hospital until you die, unless you miraculously get better. To send her home early would amount to giving up. And if they did send her home early why were her alleged 'last words' spoken to Kerry in the hospital instead of at home? It just makes no sense.
