You got it! Kerry will suffer the "agony of defeat" or is it de feet, like in taking a hike? Bush 355, Kerry 183.
To: Bill Buckner
But Kerry has fraud on his side. That's my only fear - that they will get away with it.

This cannot be considered the worst case as it must include FL for Bush. What if he doesn't get FL? This is realistic about OH and NM--but, in this case, without FL, all is lost.

The split vote initiative is going down big here in Colorado. No worries.

What's wrong with Virginia? The polls there are way too close for my comfort. It'd be crushing to see Bush lose the election on a surprise loss somewhere like VA.
Unfortunately there are a lot of yuppies in Norther Va, that is why I moved to SC.

I know, but I am saying that Bush should first lockup the states he should win and then go after the one's he could win.

If only Kerry WOULD lose PA or MN! In that case, FL would be a non-issue. But, really, the numbers are so daunting in PA. MN? Republican? The home of the Happy Warrior hasn't been in the (R) column for a couple of decades (although Sen. Dayton is doing all he can to put it there!).

If Ohio goes to Kerry we will be in trouble. I use to think so, but now IA and WI are coming into play as insurance. Hopefully the Marriage Act pulls out Ohio ...

I agree with you. If I were the President, I would be stopping through Ohio a wee bit more than he has been.
To: FlipWilson
Do you think he would be doing this if his internals didn't show him winning Ohio??

See http://www.tradesports.com/
The spread between Bush/Kerry futures is now 22 points, the highest I've seen so far. It was only 15 points just a week ago. Which shows there is momentum in Bush's favor. But I wouldn't be surprised if Soros launched another attack on these futures 1-2 days before the election.
The main question mark for me is new voter registrations, mostly young people who favor Kerry. These people are not captured in the polls.
