Very true. If (when hopefully) GW wins this election, it will be a repudiation against liberalism and the MSM like America has never seen. No President has had to take as many unjustifiable arrows from the MSM as GW has had to take.
No Republican President has ever had the money spent against him like GW has had against him. No President has ever had the entertainment industry so stacked against him (from movies to books).
A very good point. Also, NO President has had a a multi billion dollar negative ad campaign run against him by the so called "News Media" The comparison of Bush's negative vrs positive coverage by the Media Center was incredible. I don't think even Reagan got as much negative press in 80 or 84 as GW has gotten this year but I cannot prove that. Also, I don't remeber the American Firsters and the other on the Hard Right out there attacking Reagan the way they do Bush. Bush has to take his hits coming BOTH ways!

"I saw for calls for a zot becasue someone posted his opinion that because bush is below 50% AR in each battleground state, he will lose"
That happens to be a lie.
Bush is above 50 AR nationally in nearly every poll I have seen, including Rasmussen's JA poll out just today putting Bush at 54% JA.
This was obviously a hate-filled DU troll out to spread FUD.
I'd liquidate him as quickly as he could type.
We don't need DU disinformation here. That's what the DU is there for.
Why come here and waste our time here?
BTW, President Bush will win easily. I think the Bush-Cheney team is being deliberately conservative in their estimates.
I am making it 52% for President Bush, easy.
I keep thinking back to 2002 and how the liberal media kept bleating on about how close it was going to be, only for the Republican Party to sweep everything in site.
Same is going to happen on November 2. A massive Bush win. :)

THANK YOU!!! Abe Lincoln did it too (I know it's far-fetched becaused of the Civil War et al, but I had to throw it into the mix)!

That is why this up coming week the MSM is even going to go more overboard with anti-GW stories. You're telling me. I opened up my paper this morning (I only take the weekend editions) and was infuriated to see a whole host of anti-Bush screeds and stories to make him look bad (one of them was about how military families are against Bush over Iraq and breaking their "silence"). From the front page to the editorials to the letters to the editor, I was mad mad mad!

So? D'ya think that Freepers are smart enough to determine these things for themselves, or not? I think they are.

Right you are. Imagine what a different campaign the two would be running if there were no electoral college. Bush would be trying to boost his turnout in his safe states, but there is no advantage to doing so with the electoral college. Still, I prefer 51 separate elections to the one national election favored by many liberals.
To: sungkilmoon
All of these are regardless of the bias MSM - This is where Rove is suppose to work his "magic" - Sorry, I call Bull$hit.
Rove just wins.
How he wins is subject to battle conditions. He has no formulas and no set methods.
He just wins.

We had all that in 2002. Plus the MSM were busy predicting a massive Republican loss with just a month to go to the elections, only for President Bush to carry the GOP through one of its biggest wins ever.
All the postmortems of the 2002 campaign put the credit squarely at President Bush's feet.
Hanoi John is going to lose and lose big. Poor guy.

If Bush gets 50% of the vote nationwide their balloon will explode.

And don't be cranky; from what I here, 40 can be great! Happy Birthday and may your wish come true.

Actually it isn't mine it's ours. That is all this tea leaf reading and election forcasting is. Both campaigns play mind games trying to fire up their base and depress the other side. If anyone here tells you he KNOWS what is going to happen this year, he is a liar. There are just too many variables that do not fit any of the existing polling models. I suspect this election will fundamentally restructure how elections, and polling, are done for a generation. None of the old assumtpions or models quite fit any more. It just feels like there are a significant number people who are changing their minds from day to day about how they are voting. That is why I am so eager for Bush to win. IF Kerry wins, this is how elections will be run for the REST of my life. If you think things are negative and nasty now, wait to see what happens if the Republican base sees an election stoled away by naked voter fraud this year. See the Democrats act all indignant about 2000 but in there hearts they KNOW they lost honestly. Republicans KNOW this year the Dims are openly trying to steal it. No matter what, A "Kerry win" this year will NEVER be accepted as legitimate by 45% of the American people.

"So? D'ya think that Freepers are smart enough to determine these things for themselves, or not? I think they are."
Of course Freepers are very smart, well educated, eminently sensible folks. After all they are conservatives, who have always been much smarter and better looking than the dopey, wishy washy leftists creeps at DU.
But that is not the point.
The leftists have their own boards where they spend their lives spewing out anti-Bush hatred.
We neither want, nor need that garbage here.
That is not what this board is here for for.
If I want to read anti-Bush hate speech I'll go to the DU. I don't. I come to FREEP instead. We have every right to annihilate any DU FUD we deem not in tune with our philosophy.
This board is now owned by the DU or George Soros, thank God.
The administrators of this board are free to zap any haters they feel need to be zapped.. and there is little you can do about it.
Go spread your nonsense amongst your pals at DU.
You'd get a more sympathetic hearing there. Not here. :)

CORRECTION:
"This board is now owned by the DU or George Soros, thank God"
should read
"This board is NOT owned by the DU or George Soros, thank God"
Apologies to all.

What? -- over Stem Cells? Where did he get this? I wish the news people understood Stem Cell research -- or have a clue that this is the first President to fund any stem cell research with Federal Dollars... why do they think the Feds have to pay for everything? now they want them in the vaccination manufacturing business, too.
